The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences has announced the finalists for their annual Indie Game Challenge finalists have been revealed, and include some very awesome, non-traditional games, including Limbo, Q.U.B.E., Monaco and more.
The winners will be revealed on February 11th at the D.I.C.E. Summit at Las Vegas' Red Rock Resort in a ceremony hosted by G4's own Adam Sessler. You'll be learn the winners as soon as their announced on our D.I.C.E. 2011 page, where we'll be covering all the action of D.I.C.E. 2011 as it happens.
RATING: Limbo Review
The awards are broken up into two categories, the non-professional category and the professional category, and the winner of each category winner will receive a $100,000 prize. Other available prizes include a $50,000 scholarship to The Guildhall at SMU, an EEDAR DesignMetrics title assessment to each winner, and other prizes. Prize total: $350,000! Big bucks, eh?

The IGCwill also give out the Kongregate Award to the best browser-based game as determined by a review of all Kongregate's games. The site's CEO Jim Greer will announce the winner at the awards ceremony.

Amazing show, thanks to Sessler for the great hosting. Never heard of the games except for Limbo, they all looked brilliant. This show needs more exposure!
