The beauty of games like Dance Central is that your movements are reflected accurately in the game. When you pump your fist to do "the torch" in real life your character does the same. It's this concept that makes the latest Kinect hack so cool. Hacker demize2010 is at it again and this time he's playing Street Fighter 4. He used a combination of the FAAST technology developed by people at USC and GlovePIE for scripting special moves. When he punches to the left Ken punches, he can even use both arms to make a Hadouken. If you happen to be a martial arts expert who loves to play Street Fighter you're going to love this, however if you're in similar physical shape as I am you're going to pull a muscle just from watching. In all seriousness something like this could be added to a future Street Fighter game. Would you want to play a Kinect Street Fighter game?

didn't MK use motion capture for development of character motions?

Unless it's a game actually designed for the Kinect, all these hacks are poor and pointless and extraordinarily frustrating.
Anyone remember the U-Force, or the Power Glove? Right.
Same thing, really.

I think it's pretty cool. I just want to know if my girlfriend can use it to play as Chun Li and to get a real workout. The Lightning Leg kick and the Spinning Bird kick are the ones I want to see her do!

This is so freakin awesome. Kinect is kicking Nintendo and Sony's asses in the motion control market. And its all thanks to third party companies and hackers. LOL>

That's pretty cool. I'll be fine with my joystick though.I don't want to imagine playing Vega or Rufus with Kinect.

I already feel like an idiot playing fighting games with a hand held controller, why on earth would I want to feel even more idiotic jumping around my living room like a 6 year old 'practicing" Yu-Gi-Oh moves?

It would be fun for about 1 round, and then you'd want to switch to a controller. Isn't the point of games like Street Fighter to live out a fantasy of being a martial artist, being someone you can't be and doing stuff you can't do in real life?
Also, until jumps translate 1:1 without "floatyness", there will still be a bit of a disconnect.

I say they could make a work out mode in super street fighter IV that has uses kinect or move
