We know you are all super swamped crafting, molding, fine tuning your fantabulous imaginarious creations in Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet 2 at the moment, but we thought you’d like to know that the latest edition of your favorite video game webshow Feedback has arrived!

On this week’s episode, Adam Sessler welcomes Rob Manuel, Chris Monfette, and myself to discuss this week’s hottest game news, including THQ’s big gamer’s day that was held last week in New York City, LBP2, and why we fear we might never see Adam again (Yes. It’s WoW related).

Feedback -- How Big Is LittleBigPlanet 2? »

Using some of the amazing new tools in LBP2, we were actually able to create a discussion around the following topics:

  • The PS3 version of Portal 2 includes a Steam “copy” of the game for either PC or Mac. It also features cross-platform co-op and chat. Does Valve know how to make nice, or what?
  • Epic Games will release the Gears of War Triple Pack on February 15 for those gamers who just came out of a five-year coma, or are a sucker for a great deal.
  • Natural disasters, political turmoil, troubled economic times, AND Nintendo has stopped making DSi’s? Coincidence? You be the judge.
  • THQ showed off a bunch of upcoming titles at a press event last week. Get the latest info on Homefront, Stacking, and WWE All-Stars in our even roundup.
  • LittleBigPlanet 2 dazzles and delights, and the gang tosses in their two handcrafted cents about Media Molecule’s latest brain-blasting title.

Feedback: Made from scratch every week by an underground dungeon full of Sackbots since 2011.

Just so you guys know... Adam and everyone else you were asking why Portal 2's extended functionality is not possible on 360. The reason being is:

    1. Microsoft doesn't allow mods without approval
    2. Xbox Live is a closed system Microsoft would never allow updates to the game without Microsoft certification. Sony will.
    3. They would never allow xbox live to connect to steamworks in the way that it will on the ps3.

The ps3 is a open system. While a mediocre game we saw this type of functionality in the past on Unreal Tournament 3. It was fully open to all the pc modders.

While microsoft and xbox live have quite a few things right and is my standard go to for online gaming they are very strict on what they will and won't allow. Sony wanted to mend a broken relationship with Gabe Newell who was one of the ps3's worst critics from the get go and basically said feel free to do whatever you want we are completely open to steam integration on the ps3. Thats why chatting and friends lists will carry over from your steam account.

You guys should've been paying attention during the sony presentation at e3. ;)

    Xbox fanboys! lol jk

    Thanks for another feedback!

I'm pretty sure i heard somewhere that the reason portal 2 with steamworks isnt coming to the xbox is because microsoft wouldnt allow valve to use their 3rd party software on microsoft's online platform. Either that or they wouldnt allow it without charging money which is exactly the opposite of what valve is about.

The Question of the Week reflects my worries whole heartedly of where the gaming industry is heading. Personally, if change doesn't come quickly, in terms of revamping the pricing structure of games, whether a change of distribution methods or otherwise, I can easily see myself dropping the video game hobby in the next 3-5 years because it is so expensive. And with the lack of IP's that is quickly being replaced with features on services such as XBL, there really isn't any reason keeping this hobby alive.

What was affordable a mere 8-10 years ago has become a financial chore for some gamers.

WoW died 3 years ago when they murdered the mechanics that made the game so great. Sure, they added a bunch of cool stuff but in reality I played 3 months ago and was 1 of 4 people (Out of about a hundred I asked) who even PLAYED the Vanilla wow. Honestly Adam, I respect you so deeply for what you do, I always like your reviews and I don't rent a game unless you give the go ahead. WoW is not worth it anymore. It's a sham of it's former self..Don't let the sparkly new stuff take you away. I wasted 400 dollars and time I'm never getting back, and really Blizzard ruined the experience on a gameplay level anyway. People who have spent years working on the same chars get decimated by new players, the raids are never worth it (because guess what? You finally reach the lich king and it's new expansion time!). Honestly, Blizzard really did have a great thing going for it for a long time, and I really loved the original-Wrath, but when it comes to making Tauren's Paladin's...the Keepers of the light are now COWS...Dwarf Mages? I'm sorry but it's not worth the money to be cheated out of what was a 1 of a kind experience. Hope this helps, love this show. Abby marry me.

    @loosecannon33

It was kind of nice. Dana is an insufferble fangirl unable to like anyhing outside of MS. Nikole is just always so lost with nothing to add ever. Abbie just talks over EVERYBODY as if to prove she knows more than everyone else. Don't believe me watch any episode she has ever been on she constantly interupts people, and it is very annoying.

Oh well I am sure they will make up for it next week by having all chicks. Morgan is cool though. Knows her stuff and works herself into the conversation well. Probably why she is an "on air" female.

    Feedback Dream Team:
    Adam
    JP
    Matt
    Kevin
    Casey

I know that is five people, but if they put that together it would be the best episode ever... by far.

The reason for the Steam stuff on psn and not live is that Sony would let them and Microsoft wouldn't. That plain and simple. Sony let other companies use there on logins and mods etc and Microsoft rarely if at all does.

abbie heppe and dana both missing on a ps3 heavy episode of feedback ? why am i not surprised. like other commenters im starting to believe that, they are infact biased towards xbox 360, i mean the only time abbie has any good to say about ps3 is when talking about uncharted, i mean seriously ? there are other good games on that console, but you wouldnt know coz you are so pre occupied with COD and left for dead 2.

i just thought of a good point about the cheaper game model without multiplayer. what about the single player only games? they would have to sell their games at the discount price and that wouldnt be fair to them.

Another great show as usual. Though you are forbidden not not have a female panelist it gets a little creepy with all guys lol.

Plus Abbie Heppe is a hot gamer chick which is always a good thing.

You guys should have Chris Monfette on the show more often. He's a great addition to Feedback, in my opinion.

I've never played Gears of War and have always had a 360 console. Maybe I'll pick it up because it's now $30. I'm really excited about Portal 2 even though I'll have to get the 360 version.
