As you probably already know, the internet is a bit upset with David O. Russell and his casting of Mark Wahlberg as the lead in his Uncharted movie adaptation. Adam Sessler is not blind to your rage, so he decided to chime in and explain why he doesn't really care what happens with the Uncharted movie, despite his love of the video game series. So in this week's Soapbox, Adam takes on the subject of video game movies and why they always end up sucking so bad.
Warning: This episode of Soapbox contains some of Adam Sessler's explosive and controversial opinions, like Apocalypse Now is a bad movie, and J. R. R. Tolkien sucks. Proceed with caution.

Apocalypse Now and Watchmen are both good movies. I respectfully disagree with the Sess.

I agree about Tolkien. I always found them hard to read. I believe a good video game movie can be made, but it has to reject what made the game good and think about what makes a movie good and in that way. Even if the source material is good, it has to be defied if the movie is to be good in it's own way. Also feel the same way with Mark Wahlberg. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I won't get all bent up about possible outcomes.

Glad to see that Adam shares the same idea as me. Don't care about Wahlberg getting casted, because the movie will probably fail anyway.
