Details for Tecmo Koei's Dead or Alive: Dimensions for the Nintendo 3DS were revealed at Nintendo World a few days ago. One issue gamers might have with next game in the Dead or Alive series is that playing in 3D will effect the game's framerate according to Team Ninja's Yosuke Hayashi. During the presentation they also showed off the latest trailer for DoA: Dimensions.

I imagine most gamers who buy a 3DS will want to play their games in 3D. However gamers who wish to play DoA: Dimensions in stereoscopic 3D will notice the game has been slowed down to 30 frames per second. If you turn the 3D effects off and play in 2D the game will run its standard 60 frames per second.

Knowing that the framerate per second will drop by 50% in 3D sounds like a bummer but it should be noted that 30 frames per second is still good. 60 frames per second is just better. Now that you know the quality will change with 3D, do you still plan on getting this game or a 3DS?

Dead or Alive: Dimensions will be released in Japan on March 24, 2011. It does not have an American release date yet.
