Nintendo has confirmed the Japanese launch line-up for the Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo World: 2011 just took place in Japan over the weekend. During the event Nintendo showed off some of the games they will be launching when the Nintendo 3DS debuts in Japan on February 26, 2011. Some of the games revealed like Nintendogs + Cats didn't surprise anyone while games like Samurai Warriors: Chronicle weren't expected. For the complete list of Japanese 3DS launch titles keep reading.
The launch titles for Nintendo 3DS in Japan:
- Battle of the Giants: Dinosaurs 3D
- Nintendogs + cats
- Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle
- Tobidasu! Puzzle Bobble 3D
- Ridge Racer 3D
- Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition
- Samurai Warriors: Chronicle
- Winning Eleven Soccer 3D
You might notice many announced games are missing from the launch line-up. Games like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D will come out within the first three months of the 3DS launch. Star Fox 64 3D and Kid Icarus: Uprising will come out in the summer. Other known games like Mario Kart, Paper Mario and Animal Crossing don't have a projected release time.
These announcements are for Japan only but will most likely be an indicator of what to expect once details for the American 3DS launch are announced. Reggie Fils-Aime is expected to announce the price, release date and launch line-up for North America at the Nintendo 3DS preview event on January 19th. You can be sure G4tv.com will be covering all the announcements from the event.
Do you think the America launch line-up will be different from the Japanese line-up? I hope we get Zelda: OoT 3D as a launch title.
