Sub-boss Goro and secret character Jade are the latest characters to be added to Mortal Kombat's roster of fighters. Surprisingly I think both characters wear the same amount of clothing. They were confirmed by the series co-creator Ed Boon in the current issue of Game Informer magazine. In the interview Ed also touches upon having an Xbox 360 exclusive character to counter the PS3 exclusive Kratos. More after the break.
The God of War himself has already been confirmed for Mortal Kombat as a PS3 exclusive playable character. Naturally we all assumed there would be an Xbox 360 exclusive character as well. Ed Boon denied this by saying a Xbox 360 character was currently not planned but he did mention the possibility for more characters through DLC.
Goro is definitely one of the game's most memorable characters, probably because of his giant size and four arms. He's been described as a 2,000 year old half human-dragon. Yes, that apparently works. He appeared in the first Mortal Kombat game as well as Mortal Kombat 4, MK: Deadly Alliance, MK: Armageddon and a few others.
Jade was first a secret unplayable character in Mortal Kombat 2 and didn't become playable until Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Her backstory says she has been a friend of Kitana's since childhood and was an assassin for Shao Kahn along with Kitana and Mileena for most of her life.
Mortal Kombat does not have a confirmed release date but many speculate it will be out this April for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

ugh! They're doing the same mistakes they did with the failed MK Deception and so forth. Only this is 2d. Please don't mess this up "Midway". I remember pro mo pictures of MK characters were so much better. Life like.

As cool as it would be to have a Gears of War character as the 360 exclusive, the problem that may come up is quite simply the fact that the Gears characters are very slow. If MK could speed them up a few notches they would be a formidable choice for a fighter. My other suggestions would be Emile from Halo Reach, Carmine from GOW, or even give us a DC Superhero considering that Warner Bros. has a hand in this game.

General Raam Hands down with the huge blade of his and the control of the bats and being visious looking ...yea GOW character is pretty much the only choice they got with this game.........No ones as bloody as them. Perfect fit in the MK universe and they come Fatality ready made anyone fancy a curb stomp fatality or saw lancer brutality??????? In the words of Stan Lee....Nuff Said.!

Seriously, i don t understand why 360 players r crying about i mean its still MK does it matter if ps3 got 1 extra character? Anyway i know i m still getting it for 360 but I d love to see any character from GOW like Raam or Scorge i don t see any better choices.

I think it would be cool for the xbox to get a fully upgraded agent from crackdown2. I really wish the 360 could invent a game without totally copying wii with all the characters like super smash bros; if they ever did that i don't think i would ever turn my xbox off!

Everyone is saying Marcus should be the XBOX 360 Toon. But in my opinion, he wouldn't fit. If anything they should add Skorge or COLE TRAIN BABY! WOO!

Come on, let the xbox people have Kratos to... This way, the xbox guys can take their frustration of not being able to play that franchise without owning a PS3...
Anyway, Xbox should get Sam Fischer... cause he's xbox exclusive.

So I rethought my choices and three other possiblities would be any characters from knights of the old republic, fable series, and jade empire. Yes I left it open to options here but there all good options.

My top five picks for xbox 360 exclusive would be Saren from the original Mass Effect, Arbiter from halo series, a Carbine sibling from the gears of war series, Alicia Clause from bulletwitch, and Ken from ninja Blade. These were all 360 exclusives with microsoft publishing so better chance of being chosen for the game. Plus bonus if some character from gears of war gets chosen then it would be a battle of the better GOW exclusive (Gears Of War vs God Of War)... just saying.

People here don't seem to get it, It won't be a character from Mass Effect because that series is no longer Xbox Exclusive, Master Chief would be lame because he isn't known for brutal hand to hand combat. What would his moves be? Melee? My first option would have been someone from Gears of War (plus, then it would be Kratos from GoW on the PS3 and Marcus from GoW on the 360) but even they rely too much on guns to be a good fit in the series.Maybe they can use Spawn, just like Soul Calibur did on the Xbox.

I think the 360 exclusive character should be King Leonidus from 300. so what if its a movie and not a game, it still be sick!!!
