Sub-boss Goro and secret character Jade are the latest characters to be added to Mortal Kombat's roster of fighters. Surprisingly I think both characters wear the same amount of clothing. They were confirmed by the series co-creator Ed Boon in the current issue of Game Informer magazine. In the interview Ed also touches upon having an Xbox 360 exclusive character to counter the PS3 exclusive Kratos. More after the break.
The God of War himself has already been confirmed for Mortal Kombat as a PS3 exclusive playable character. Naturally we all assumed there would be an Xbox 360 exclusive character as well. Ed Boon denied this by saying a Xbox 360 character was currently not planned but he did mention the possibility for more characters through DLC.
Goro is definitely one of the game's most memorable characters, probably because of his giant size and four arms. He's been described as a 2,000 year old half human-dragon. Yes, that apparently works. He appeared in the first Mortal Kombat game as well as Mortal Kombat 4, MK: Deadly Alliance, MK: Armageddon and a few others.
Jade was first a secret unplayable character in Mortal Kombat 2 and didn't become playable until Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Her backstory says she has been a friend of Kitana's since childhood and was an assassin for Shao Kahn along with Kitana and Mileena for most of her life.
Mortal Kombat does not have a confirmed release date but many speculate it will be out this April for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

having been a former 360 owner, I'm all for there being exclusives on both systems, but think about it: are there even any Xbox exclusive characters that can do it? Marcus only uses his fists AFTER shooting the hell out of them, same for Master Chief. What would their X-ray attacks be? Their fatalities? If there are any 360 exclusive characters that can live up to the MK hype, then by all means. Meanwhile, Kratos will find more gods to kill.

I always thought Altair from Assassins creed would be a badass xbox 360 exclusive. The game doesn't have to be tied to the system, just what ever character they choose.

I know some kick-butt characters that is ONLY ON the Xbox360! that should be in this game. that dude from The Dishwasher Dead Samurai, Joanna Dark from Perfect Dark Zero. Jason Flemming from Shadow Complex. yeah it will be awesome if they put Skorge ( from Gears of War 2 ) in this! but if they don't put anybody for the Xbox360 version. Marvel vs Capcom 3 will be the only fighter I buy this year! simple as that!

Man I seriously can't think of any good character for the Xbox 360 version of the game that would be as awesome as Kratos but it really doesn't matter to me because this game is a PS3 buy for sure I hate the 360's controller especially when it comes to fighting games Kratos is just a bonus.

I agree with rubens34, I vote for Skorge. I think he would be perfect. That's the best xbox 360 exclusive character I can think of to bring into Mortal Kombat.
Also I think an Elite or Hunter from Halo would be a pretty good choice.

Dead or alive did a spartan already which it was okay but i dont want another spartan in a fighting game. Xbox doesnt really have their own brutal character. MC isnt made someone from GOW series but thats to easy. Idk But as Nightwolf doesnt get kicked off the roster for some reason Then its still a buy for me. And Mass Effect characters wouldnt work because once again they dont thave the mk feel to them. Kratos is actually kind of beliveable.
