Mincraft Yourself with Kinect

If there’s one thing that’s a real pain-in-the-ass to build in Minecraft, it’s…well…it’s pretty much everything considering how lazy we are, but moreoever, it’s a towering, Lord-of-the-Ringesque statue of oneself. Somewhere on the cliff-face just above some massive Minecraftian lake, we simply want a ginormous figure of ourselves watching over our painstakingly hand-carved world.

Is that too much to ask?

Not if you’re asking the Xbox Kinect. Or rather, a very efficient hacker for the Xbox Kinect. Kotaku has the latest details on a hack that enables the data collected by the Kinect to communicate directly with Minecraft, translating any scanned figure into a reasonably similar arrangement of blocks and pieces. Now you truly can build anything in Minecraft. Anything? Oh, dear God, no...
