LevelUp At CES 2011

The CES show floor is filled to the brim with the future of gaming technology. While exploring the many booths we had the chance to check out the efficiency experts at Levelup to see the latest and greatest in gaming organizational tools. After being shown a few of the company’s trademark – and super swanky – instrument ottomans, we got a peek at their latest line of towers for the PS3,  Xbox 360 and Wii.

A few of these rather tall contraptions included room for the console, a dozen games and trays for your controller at the top. Other versions, both collapsible and stackable, focused on games only, allowing players to stack up to 30-plus titles. The towers,  however, did not plug in, so the controller trays can’t be used for remote charging.

Before we left, Levelup gave us a look at some early prototypes of controller-shaped molds for your iPod Touch and iPhone. Your cell phone / music / gaming devices will fit snugly into these easy-to-hold frames – even while still in their cases – so that they’re easier to control when you, your friends or your children are gaming.

Keep on checking back with G4TV.com as we bring you ever more from the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show.

Those towers would be better if the held more games and doubled as a tv stand and charging station.

in addition to all the other flaws everyone else has pointed out, i've never seen a game survive longer than a week when played on a vertical-standing xbox. after a bit of use, the disc is sure to accumulate a lot of scratches and eventually become unplayable in a tower setup like this...

Does it have a hole in the back for the 360 for good air flow? cause if not, it IS going to overheat no questions asked...

So it looks really cool showing the green of the game box, but how does it look with the titles facing out because no ones going to keep the titles facing inwards. I feel like the green is half the reason it looks good. And SciFirearms brought up having more than 30 games, it might also not look so great with only a few games. Just a thought. And as the author said, they dont plug in which would have been really nice.
