Cheats and Walkthroughs

Continuing the tradition started last year, virtual pill slingers everywhere will have a chance to win $1 million, simply by pitching a perfect game in Major League Baseball 2K11, the latest iteration in 2K Sports’ long-running series. Better start stretching those thumbs now.
“2K Sports made video game history last year by giving away $1 million in the Perfect Game Challenge,” said 2K Sports vice president of marketing Jason Argent. “We’re thrilled to be giving our fans – from skilled players to novices – another shot at the prize money with Major League Baseball 2K11. Our cover athlete, Roy Halladay of the Philadelphia Phillies, is one of those rare pitchers to have thrown a perfect game and we think that it’s only fitting that he’ll be inspiring gamers to step onto the mound for their chance at perfection.”
The contest officially kicks off April 1, 2011, aka MLB’s opening day, and runs until September 28, or until someone pitches a verified perfect game in the upcoming MLB2K11. It also only applies to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. You can find the official details here.
The contest will be open to anyone over the age of 13, which should ramp up the competition quotient a bit. Although, I don’t know how it could be any crazier than last year, since Alabama resident Wade McGilberry managed to pitch a perfect game on the very first day of the competition.
Did anyone manage to pitch a perfect game in MLB 2K10? Anyone participate in the contest?

I'm pretty sure what 2k11 is looking for is for one pitcher to throw a perfect game not a team as a whole....
crocodilius
A perfect game simply means no hits, no hit batters and no walks.
Why would it matter if i change pitchers? It's happened in real life before.

Hope they work out the Galarraga bug, so the 1st base umpire doesn't screw you out of your perfect game.
jungan
I can do this.

2k10 was actually a very good game. I will look into getting this one once it's cheaper.

you have to use the same pitcher the entire game, they choose your pitcher for you from the starting pitchers for that day against the team they are playing. You can not give up a walk, hit, or your team create an error, and you must score a run. You have to record the game including recording turning on the console and selecting the game type
crocodilius
there must be some rules to go with it
otherwise, i'd just choose Philadelphia and start a new pitcher every inning
