New L.A. Noire Screens Show Stylish Detective Work

A fresh, and totally law abiding, set of screenshots from Rockstar Games’ stylish 1940s detective title L.A. Noire have been spotted online. Witnesses say the shots show off a mix of locales and situations that up-and-coming gumshoe Cole Phelps can expect to find himself during the course of his daily duties around town. All leads should be forwarded to one Stephen "Bad Cop" Johnson.

Hit the jump to see Phelps and company doing their detective thing.

    These shots look good. I am very interested to see how L.A. Noir will play out and how good the story is to this one. If this is any indication it looks like we might get to do some running around L.A. .

    The RAGE engine is not being used for L.A. Noire. The game is using Team Bondhi's proprietary engine.

    This game was not developed by Rockstar people, it is only being published. All credit for the game's mechanic's goes to Team Bondhi.

    @Lipps199

    From what I understand LA Noire is using the same engine as GTA4/RDR but the faces/facial expressions were done in a completely new way, GameInformer had an article about it awhile back.

    Anyone who doesn't have a PS3 better be happy this didn't stay exclusive.

    Does this game use the GTA4 engine or is it new?
