When playing a MMO I, like many, spend way too much time wondering what class to be only to be disappointed or feel like I'm missing out. In WoW I ended up being a priest which wasn't the right class for me since I often had to play alone. I need to do as much research as possible before embarking on my next MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic. That way I won't waste any time once I get it. All eight classes have been revealed but I still don't know what class to be. The latest Trooper teaser trailer was mighty tempting.

I'm leaning towards Trooper my self for my first character...though I'm going to make a character for each class for the story and to better know the class

Not sure yet myself. I have no idea how many character slots there will be per server/account. But I do have my names picked out for a character in each class regardless, lol.

I will definitely make a Chiss Imperial Agent, but I do not if that will be my first toon or if I will make my tank first,

Smuggler (Scoundrel) first. Then Sith Warrior (Juggernaut), then Trooper (Vanguard), then Jedi Knight (Sentinel) then the rest.

I want 1 of each, but they haven't announced anything regarding how many player characters will be allowed per server per account. I imagine if I had to choose just 1, it would have to be Sith Inquisitor. Bounty Hunter is a close 2nd and Smuggler would be my 3rd choice. Who wants to be a Jedi anyway? lol I guess Jedi Consular would be my 4th choice.

I always play as an evil mage in other mmo's, seems like sith inquisitor is the closest thing so that's where I'm starting :) can't wait!

I always enjoyed the "dark" characters more so I will definitely check out the dark side first. I am leaning towards the Sith Inquisitor and Imperial Agent. On the good side Smugglers look pretty cool. I also have trouble deciding which class to choose and tend to fail when starting a new game. In Asheron's Call, I had made what I thought was a bad ass but was so gimped he ended up being a pack mule. LOL WoW was the first game where I did a little bit of research first and I made a druid as that class seemed so well rounded and I tended to play alone. I also made him resto spec as everyone could use a good healer.

I know I said I want to go Jedi Knight so I can eventually dual wield. but I would like to be a trooper class to eventually do some heavy tanking.

My first choice will probably need to be whether to play Light or Dark side. I'm leaning towards Dark because I have a feeling most of the kiddies will want to be Jedi's. From there I'll have to see which class fits my playstyle the best. Traditionally I like to play as a ranged class. Though I also try to avoid classes that will be overpopulated (for the sake of being able to find groups). For those reasons, I think I'd try out an Imperial Agent to start out, since I have a feeling most will flock to bounty hunter and sith.

Not sure if I'm going to pick the Old Republic up yet or not, but if I do I'm definitely leaning towards bounty hunter or smuggler. That being said, I usually pick all the wrong classes too, so those are probably the bad ones.
