In a statement issued to the L.A. Times, Electronic Arts responded to the claims filed yesterday by Activision in the lawsuit concerning the creators of Modern Warfare, Jason West and Vince Zampella's exodus from Acitivion.
"This is a PR play filled with pettiness and deliberate misdirection. Activision wants to hide the fact that they have no credible response to the claim of two artists who were fired and now just want to get paid for their work."
In the complaint filed yesterday in Los Angeles, Activision said it is looking for $400 million in damages and penalties from EA, West and Zampella. Read the whole complaint here.
Barring any kind of settlement between the parties, the ball is in the court's hands: They're expected to rule on whether EA will be included in the case sometimes in January.

Wow this can be a whole new section of G4 coverage. maybe they can get nancy grace to demonize one or both of the interested parties every day for two hours, and then call them both stupid. them they can move on to some other game developers after a couple of weeks. This could bring in some serious advertising dollars to G4. Have you seen Nancy Grace's ratings?

Activision is trolling for money because the only income they have outside of the Blizzard IP's is C.O.D. And from the recent opinion about the franchise points to lost sales in both the downloads, and any new yearly iterations of C.O.D.

Activision is loaded. The executives of Activision are just greedy. They have a multibillion dollar franchise(Not to mention the several other franchises that make loads of cash) and are now jealous that Vince and Jason are with EA making a new IP that they wanted to make years ago but Activision is so money hungry for Call of Duty that they refused to let the pair expand their creativeness. It's a shame that Activision ruined Call of Duty by coming out with a new game every year. I feel that Black Ops will be the last record breaking Call of Duty ever.
