The Dead Space 2 demo is available for download on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network, but if you don't have access to play the demo you can, however, check out our gameplay video showing off Isaac Clarke on a terrifying adventure through the Church of Unitology.
In the demo, players will also have access to a variety of new tools that Isaac can use to fight Necromorphs, including the new Javelin gun, updated stasis recharge mechanic and enhanced telekinesis abilities ready to go in the demo for Dead Space 2. Also, experience full 360 control of Isaac in Zero-G space while dodging big blades of death.
Dead Space 2's release date is on January 28, 2011. Are you getting scared yet?

i wish i could of got the achievement: (Taste of your own Medicine)which requires TK Impale a live Slasher to a surface using a Slasher's arm - it must stick to the surface, when i impaled and sticked a slasher to the surface while i was playing the demo. but the achievement didn't show up i must be doin it wrong.

resident evil developers should be taking notes. Dead Space will surely become the best of its genre. the simple fact that you can walk and shoot already makes this game 100% better than resident evil 5. Dead Space FTW!!

That one part where your in the lab and Isaac trips out and sees those thing seriously made me toss the controller it scared me so much. Not to mention I had to get out and walk around to slow my friggin heart down:L

Yes, yes there is nothing new here...
oh wait, there is an actual backstory to follow, the main character can talk, weapon menu system enhanced, better melee attacks, etc.
Nothing new here!
Shazam King
AH! Oh my God. Boner...

Great game , the screaming baby things were insanely louder compared to the rest, had to turn way down.

who ever was playing this had a little "too" much fun with the stomping animations...

bummer...this looks exactly like DS1. Can't explain how excited I was for this game, and now I feel letdown beyond words. Alien breaks out of glass-shoot him. Alien jumps out behind you-shoot it. There is no intuitive or original gameplay here(beyond the first game's kick ass survival theme). I know that many will disagree-and that's OK. But for all of you that played through the awesome campaign on the hardest difficulty in DS1, you cannot possibly believe that this is a step forward. This is a step backwards...No doubt this game's developers are successful degree holders-most likely some of the best in survival horror. Congrats on DS1, but I would really have liked to have seen some gameplay in the demo that made me....excited. I'm not excited. Honestly, I wanted to see something never seen before in this genre. Yes, I'm dissapointed in the demo, and yes, it still looks fun. This game has potential, but I expected a LOT more from the team developing this game. Isaac still swings his fists like a bitch. multiplayer set aside, this game needs more "something" that the first game delivered, and I didn't see it in this demo. I agree to disagree with any views conflicting with my own opinion. I just expected more in a sequel to such an awesome game. No I haven't played DS2, BUT this doesn't look like DS2; it looks like DS 1.5. sorry

I haven't played this demo yet but right before I read this article I just got finish beating Deadspace 1 0n the 360 again for the second time. isn't that funny

Man, those are some loading screens, I mean, elevators and doors. I guess it was a necessary design choice, but you're not fooling anyone by putting loading screens behind a ten-second door animation, developers. I should quit paying attention to man behind the curtain, I suppose.

Just finished playing the demo, freaking fantastic. Loved every minute of it, it reminded me just how much I missed this franchise. Can't wait for Dead Space 2
yougimble
woulda been better if they had someone with skill playing the demo
UNEMPLOYEDxxxxJEDI
Dam those baby creatures, there hard to kill in bunches. Overall I want more Dead Space 2, the demo was to short but it was fun as hell.

I don't see why people think this is so scary. I played the first one, jumped some times, but didn't genuinely ever feel scared. I didn't jump at all at this demo, but hopefully it's different when you're actually playing. The only horror game that really satisfied me was Resident Evil 4. (I haven't played any other Resident Evil game, so what?)
Da Las Icon
Just Finished the demo it was pretty good.
Gamemaster95
not 100% on the voice yet but I'm sure it will be fine. I want to watch it all but i can't because i can play it so soon.
