Steam Holiday Sale

Steam's Holiday Sale has begun. Between daily deals and bundle packs, over 1,000 games will be discounted throughout the sale. Each day new deals will be announced. Today's deals include Portal, Fallout 3, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and Prince of Persia, all at savings of up to 80% off. The sale ends on January 2, 2011.

To kick things off right Steam is selling several packs that include dozens of franchise or publisher specific games, like the Square Complete Pack, a pack of nearly 50 Square Enix and Eidos games for only $75. Other packs have been announced as well including the THQ Complete Pack and Paradox Complete Pack. In addition to all of that, here is the first batch of daily deals. The clock is ticking on these titles so get buying!

  • F1 2010
  • Battlefield Bad Company 2
  • Fallout 3 (Game of the Year)
  • The Deus Ex Collection
  • LEGO Batman
  • Peggle & Peggle Nights
  • Prince of Persia (Franchise)
  • Portal
  • F.E.A.R. (Franchise)
  • Titan Quest Gold
  • Super Meat Boy
  • Oddworld's Oddboxx

The Square Complete Pack will include 50 games at 88% savings. The pack includes games like Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition, Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Flora's Fruit Farm.

The THQ Complete Pack features over 20 games at a total of 87% savings. Games like Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II, Saints Row 2, and Company of Heroes will cost you only $50.

The Paradox Pack boasts similar discounts with nearly 50 games at 86% savings. This pack costs $75 and will have Command: Conquest of the Americas, East India Company, Elven Legacy and more.

You've been good all year long, it's only fair that you reward yourself with some discounted games. Which games will you be getting this week?

Update: While there are tons of great deals on games I wanted to point out that the Valve Complete Pack was also available. You get 22 Valve games for $50. That's a combined savings of $40. The Half-Life games are so choice. If you have the means I highly recommend you pick them up.
