Fallout: New Vegas Dead Money Trailer -- Exclusive DLC

Posted December 16, 2010 - By Nikole Zivalich

Fallout: New Vegas' downloadable content Dead Money has its first trailer, and it is eerie. In the first batch of DLC for Obsidian Games' post-apocalyptic shooter, you are the victim of a raw deal, and now you are being held captive with an explosive collar around your neck. (The Running Man, anyone?) You must do exactly what your captor says or you and the other prisoners will be killed. Your mission? Break into the Sierra Madre's vault. Sounds easy enough.

The Dead Money DLC will raise the current level cap to 35. New perks and new achievements will also be added. It is set in the Sierra Madre, a once extravagant resort and casino. Dead Money is a stand-alone experience in the same vein as Fallout 3's DLC The Pitt.
Dead Money is currently an Xbox 360 exclusive download. Bethesda, Fallout 3's developer, has not announced any plans to release it on the PS3 or PC. Several Fallout 3 add-ons were console exclusive upon launch but became multi-platform after a certain amount of time, so there is hope for PS3 and PC players.
Dead Money will be released on December 21 exclusively for the Xbox 360. It will cost 800 MS points.
