Nikole Zivalich serves as Games Editor at G4, where she tries in vain to hide her Pokemon addiction from everyone. The first step is admitting you have a problem.
When I finished Mass Effect 2 it was bittersweet. I was sad it was over, and I was sad that the best game of the year came out in January. I enjoyed every second of Mass Effect 2. I cared about the characters, I cared about the story, I cared about upgrading my weapons. If anything, I'm only guilty of caring too much. Krogan <3 FEEL THE BLOOD RAGE!

One of my favorite shooters of the year was Battlefield: Bad Company 2. I love the characters, which is really rare for a FPS. The dialogue in campaign was hilarious. I have a total crush on Sweetwater. I spent the most time in multiplayer though. BFBC2 was all about teamwork but it was about stabbing every single closed door open. Bad Company 2 taught me: The object of war is not to die for your country but to not hear the awful horn letting you know you're loosing.
Pokemon Silver was and is my favorite Pokemon game. When the game I already owned for the Game Boy came out on the DS I knew I had to buy it again! I have a pretty 1337 team in my OG Pokemon Silver: Espeon, Raichu, Starmie, Articuno, Alakazam and MewTwo, all level 100s. No big deal. My SoulSilver isn't quite there yet, but I'll be ready for Black and White in 2011.
I did not like GTAIV so I wasn't even remotely excited about Red Dead Redemption. When the entire office was talking about posseing up and shooting each other's horses, I was sulking at my desk. But then I remembered caving to peer pressure is actually a really good idea. So I did. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved Red Dead. It even got a vegetarian tree-hugger like me to spend hours skinning animals. Now I'm playing Undead Nightmare and riding around on War, a flaming pony. Thanks again peer pressure!
OMG WHEN IS KINGDOM HEARTS 3 GOING TO BE OUT? I'm kind of obsessed with Sleeping Beauty, and women in comas in general, so when I found out the first level of Birth by Sleep was set in Sleeping Beauty's castle I was sold. Sadly, my PSP broke so I haven't gotten to beat this yet. Curse you, broken PSP.
