Updated 12.16.2010, 4:10 PST: Sorry, the video has been pulled by YouTube. According to my old college pal, internet historian Jason Scott, when a new technology is introduced to the public, three kinds of stories are written in "The Media." Here they are, in order:
- "Hey, look at this New Thing!"
- "You can have sex with this New Thing!"
- "The New Thing can hurt you."
The Kinect has just entered phase two. Shady seeming developer ThriXXX Software, maker of 3D SexVilla 2, has developed a Kinect-powered sex simulator by adding support for Microsoft's control system to its line of 3DSex games. You can't play these games on your 360 right now, and you probably won't ever be able to, but if you're using your Kinect on your Windows 7 machine, it should work when it's released in 2011.

I try not to judge people's choices in entertainment, so I'll keep my opinions to my self and ask you guys: What do you think? Is Kinect-sex the wave of the future?

I'm not sure what disappoints me more, that people have purchased a Kinect (a proven piece of crap) or that they want to have sex using it in some way. They should all be embarrassed.
I think marketing to the unintelligent is the driving force behind M$'s plans...

It looks a LOT like the old Virtual Valerie game that got passed around a million years ago. You used the mouse to feel her up and... "do things". So really all they did was replace the mouse with a Kinect and up the graphics.
LOL'd at the three stages of Media Coverage though.

Wow. There really is a God. Hey Microsoft. Here's your next cash cow: Adult Only (AO) games. Think about it for a second. Aussies are wanting to add a R18+ and X18+ to their rating system for games that are currently banned, but OK to play everywhere else.
