EA has announced a release date for their upcoming Dead Space animated movie, Dead Space Aftermath. The movie will be out just in time for the launch of Dead Space 2 on January 25th. It will explain the events of the first-responder mission to Aegis VII. Warning: It will be scary.
Electronic Arts and Anchor Bay Entertainment are working together to bring you the second Dead Space movie. Dead Space Downfall came out in 2008. Dead Space Aftermath will be set in the year 2509. Earth has lost contact with the USG Ishimura, Isaac Clark, and now the USG O'Bannon. The story follows four survivors who appear to be lost in space. If you're planning on picking up Dead Space 2, this movie is a must-watch.
Dead Space Aftermath will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on January 25, the same day as Dead Space 2.

after the first game, I had to learn all I could about this universe. Thankfully, dead space extraction gave me all the comics so i'm caught up on everything out, I'm pretty sure.

I gotta finish Martyr, and then Salvage. Hopefully I'll be done by Jan. 2, but either way I can't say I'm too excited, after all, the first movie was not really anything great. I remember I rented it and was still kind of "meh."

Nice. Can't wait for both. If Aftermath is any as good as Downfall was then it's gonna be incredible.
