SSX: Deadly Descents was revealed via a brief trailer at tonight's VGA awards. The snowboarding sequel from Electronic Arts will use real-world locations where players can test their boarding mettle, in contrast to previous, cartoony SSX titles, like classic snowboarding game SSX: Tricky. No word yet on a release date.
So what do you guys think about the idea of a harder-edged, more realistic SSX game? I'm a huge fan of Tricky, so I'm taking a wait-and-see approach. The visuals from the video look impressive, but this one is going to come down to how well it plays. It's snowboarding, after all, so it better feel like hurtling down a huge mountain, am I right?
