New de Blob 2 Trailer -- De Blob On Ice

This latest trailer for Blue Tongue's de Blob 2 shows off the adorable little paint ball's more athletic side in the form of some ice skating gameplay that starts out black and white but finishes with splashes of color. Several new screenshots were released for the Wii and DS versions of the game too. See them and more after de break (See what I did there?).

The console versions of de Blob 2 picks up a few years after the original de Blob. An evil corporation lead by Comrade Black in disguise is trying rid the world of color. Blob and his friends, members of the Color Underground, must fight to restore pigments to the citizens of Prisma City. Gameplay will focus on combining colors of paint to fix the world around you. You must rely on paint, patterns, and puzzles to bring life back to the world.

The DS version will tell a different story that takes place even longer after the first game. This version focuses on Dr. Von Blot and his wild experiments, and de Blob must stop his evil scheme.

Despite the previous de Blob game being a Wii exclusive, de Blob 2 will be multiplatform with versions for the Wii, DS, Xbox 360, and PS3. de Blob 2 will be available on February 22, 2011.
