Insomniac Games has anounced a release date for Resistance 3. Resistance 3 will be released on the PlayStation 3 on September 6, 2011.
Developer Insomniac Games revealed Resistance 3 back in August at the GamesCom show, and since then we've seen some Resistance 3 screenshots trickle out, but had no hard info on when we can expect the game to be released, and what would be added to the series to make keep it fresh.
While few details emerged from the trailer just shown at the VGAs, we expect 3D -- Resistance 2 was all about the third dimension, but there have been speculation that Move support would be included in R3. What do you think? Is Move in Resistance 3 total madness? Or could it work?
Move or not, we know that Resistance 3 will be hitting stores September 6, 2011.

Bring back the Co-op campaign.... I love this franchise, but the biggest thing missing from R2 was the ability to play thru the storyline with a buddy

I love Insomniac games. Resistance and Ratchet & Clank are some of the best games out there :-) Can't wait. It's gonna be a great year.

I don't get all the Resistance love. I played it once on my friends PS3 and thought it was awful, actually made me glad I went with a 360 since it seems PS3 only has mid-high tier FPS and 360 has God tier FPS. Would like some GoW or Uncharted though, even if Ninja Gaiden will always be the top action game IMO

I was really hoping for a 1st Quarter release. I think it would be really cool if this and Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One released on the same day (although its not the smartest financial decision).

nerdgasm, sucks I still have to wait. I still want a chimera head for the CE and I'm glad they went back to the foggy gritty survival atmosphere. Oh n I follow them on twitter, glad to have the weapon wheel back n offline campaign co-op. cant wait!

Sick sick sick...!!! 2011 for the PS3 is crazy. The true power of the PS3 coupled with great developers and of course Blu-ray... takes my gaming fix to the next level. Thank you SONY.

Resistance 3 as I've said before will be one of the most anticipated PS3 exclusives of next year, and just the thought that it could possibly include Move support makes it even that much more worth the wait.

i think its obvious that move is on it the trailer looked like a rail shooter with amazing graphics not like a player actually controlling the movement just the gun

awsome game cant wait for this game along with uncharted 3 they are going to have to compete for game of the year for 2011 sorry to say i think out of these 2 titles uncharted 3 would win but u never know.

getting this to hold me over till uncharted 3. this game is awsome too part 2 had the 60 player matches it was epic of course it had its issues too lag for the multiplayer but still a great multiplayer experience

I loved the second game but have yet to play the first. Will definitely be picking this up to hold me off until Uncharted 3 :)

I totally love the Resistance franchise. Move or no move I could NOT care less either way the ONLY thing i'm counting on/expecting is the awesome visuals and intense game play that I have come to expect from the franchise. There is one thing I would dearly love to see return to the franchise; however, and that is between mission narration like in Resistance: The Fall of Man. It doesn't have to be done with the British accent that went before, but rather localized. For example, The Fall of Man took place in the British Isles, and the narrator was British. Resistance 2 in North America with no narration (if narrated should be someone with an North America accent) Resistance 3 so far as I know continues with North American localization, so I would hope they would use a North American narration accent.
