Get on your best question asking hats, Feedback lovers. It’s time for you to explode our minds with your incendiary and insightful inquiries. But before you do, you should know that there’s a bit of a catch this week as we are asking specifically for questions relating to X-Play’s Game of the Year nominees list.

If you haven’t had a chance to look it over, do so now, and then come back here to submit your questions about the Game of the Year nominations. Ask us anything you want, as long as it's related to that list, and we'll have our ears to the ground. Then check back next week to see if your question made the cut, and be sure to tune into X-Play’s big “Best of” show on December 14 at 6PM to see which games take home this year’s top honors.

I see that a sports title made it onto the game of the year nominee's list. I'm not criticizing the addition; I'm applauding the decision. However, given that sports titles have their own category and lack the story-telling capacity of other games (or can only tell a certain kind of story), what makes a sports game stick out in the eyes of a reviewer, not only above all other sports games, but also above all other games?

O' great and wise feed backers lend me your thoughts. Fallout New Vegas was by far my most anticipated game of the year, but didn t even register on the GOTY list. I couldn't wait for the addiction endorphins to start kicking in when I saw the trailers earlier this year. I was anticipating the obsessing over what quest I'll be doing that night while in meetings at work. Well you can imagine my disappointment when I actually started playing the game. I've gotten half way through it and sent it back to game fly with a tear in my eye and a piece of my heart. I started thinking "why does New Vegas not spark that same feeling as Fallout 3? My only conclusion was that New Vegas is too much like Fallout 3. It s like they says you can t go back home again for more than a quick visit . I've had Border Lands and many other open world apocalyptic games since then. These games use what Fallout 3 started and built upon it. So my question is how much does a game have to change or evolve to stay on top when everyone else is borrowing from your best assists?

Here's an easy question. Are you simply asking us to voice our useless opinions on the topic due to the overall weak year in games? Frankly I don't believe I was impressed with any of the titles that came out this year. I believe last years game lineups were much stronger and 2012 will reflect 2009 again as well.

basing games off of movies has shown not to work very well but it seems like more games should base games off of books or at least loosely off of books. Battling against the establishments of Fahrenheit or 1984 or all of the fantasy or scifi books out there would be amazing, There is so much content and so many great books that could be done better in video games than in movies.

I noticed you have NBA 2K11 and Epic Mickey nominated for Game of the Year, when last year all of the games nominated were action titles.

Is this merely coincidence or are you guys taking a lot more into consideration for deciding nominations?

    Hi feedback crew,
First of all you guys are doing a great job; I look forward to feedback every week. G4 has been bringing us news and coverage of all things comic con for some time now, yet no one has reported on the delayed availability to register or what caused the delay. Have you heard anything regarding the issue, or what is causing it? Is there a timeframe the comic con people have to re-open registration? Thanks guys, you rock!

Why isn't Deadly Premonition in the Best Soundtrack category?

If your argument is that Mass Effect 2 betters its original so much so that it deserves a game of the year nomination and possible win, I do not understand why then Mario Galaxy 2 would not also be nominated for the very same reason.

Difficulty, gameplay, music, graphics, level design...it was the highest reviewed game on any system by far, and hardly made any of your nominations. Why?

After viewing your list of nominees for "Game of the Year," I see a Game, "NBA 2k11," that doesn't exactly belong, but i got to thinking why it doesn't? You might say that because it's a sports game and no real "Gamer" plays sports games that it doesn't belong, but if you think even further what is the meaning behind "game of the the year" and what is behind choosing it? I think Adam might have covered this in his soapbox about fable 2 but after seeing such obvious options for GOTY such as COD and Reach not on the list, perhaps the feedback team can further explain the process behind picking nominees as well as what each of you (the critics) put behind your meaning of "Game of the Year." I hope you can further explain this so that we the audience can fully understand G4tv's/Xplay's way of choosing potential nominations.

How much in-fighting does G4 go through to create their short lists for each category?

Having moderated GOTY debates for other sites, I'm curious to know how Kumbaya the staff is when it comes to fighting for their favorites.

Were there any games that you absolutely loved that didn't make it into the contest this year? Obviously, there are only so many slots available and everyone has to "agree" on which games can fill them, but what about you personally? Also, would you have pitted different games against each other? If you had, do you think that it would have made a difference in the final outcome?

I was shown a forum post on another website where someone pointed out interviews with Activision head honcho Robert Kotick regarding various ways of taking more and more of his customers' money. I'd post a link, but I don't know if that would work on this site's comment system.

First, Kotick mentions his dream of making Call of Duty a subscription-based game in June. Then in another interview in July, he says that Activision did not receive any cut of Xbox Live subscriptions, even though he'd "heard that 60 per cent of [Microsoft s] subscribers are principally on Live because of Call Of Duty." Then in August, the $10 annual price increase was announced for Xbox Live, and in a recent interview on November 12, Kotick said that Activision "enjoys a very modest amount of the subscription fees." Just twelve days later, an Activision spokesman said in an interview that the publisher would "never, ever charge for the multiplayer."

The post was intellectually presented, and though reminiscent of a conspiracy theory, it's main idea seems like a legitimate possibility to me: that Activision has worked out a deal with Microsoft to get a cut of the Live subscription fees. Another poster in the thread provided a quote from a GamesRadar interview where an Xbox Live spokesman mentions the justifications for the price increase, and the first thing he mentions is Xbox Live receiving Call of Duty map packs significantly earlier than Playstation Network.

A lot of it (maybe even all of it) is coincidental, sure, but if it's true, it would mean that every Xbox Live subscriber is paying an additional ten bucks so that Call of Duty players can get their maps earlier on Live, whether they play the games themselves or not. It also means Activision has found a way to not just leech more coinage out of its Call of Duty fanbase, but every single player on the entire service.

Do you, the Feedback panel, think this could be a legitimate backstage deal? If so, what other steps do you think Activision would take to keep the price increase "justified" when the early-DLC deal expires in 2012? If you don't think it's a legitimate deal, how do you think they went from receiving no cut of Live subscriptions in June to getting their own slice of the pie in November?

It seems like since you guys work in the game industry it seems you are obligated to play all the brand new games and leave the old to collect dust on the shelf. Does this ever get to you? Are there any games that you would like to play more of but you just don't have the time? Are there any older games (from 2008 or older lets say) that you still play?

How could you choose NBA 2K11 and Epic mickey over games like God of War 3, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Halo Reach and Call of Duty: Black Ops?

Looking back at your list for Game of the Year, do you ever feel like there was a great game that might've been snubbed? Cause I can already think of one, God of War III.
