Night of the Sacrifice, or "Ikenie no Yoru" in Japanese, is an upcoming horror game for the Wii. The game is being created by Marvelous Entertainment and will have two-player support. Don't make the mistake of thinking just because this is a Wii game it will be family friendly. You might want to watch this with the lights on and your cell phone off.

Surprisingly, Night of the Sacrafice will offer Wii Balance Board support. Very little is known about how the peripheral will actually be used. I can only assume that being able to control the game with your entire body will add another layer of interaction, and with this particular game, another layer of terror.
The game takes place as five college students visit Tsukuyomi Ravine, a place where sacrifices were once performed. The Wiimote will be used as a flashlight, similar to Alan Wake. Night of the Sacrifice is currently only expected to have a Japanese release. However, I'm a firm believer in "If you complain, they will come." Maybe if we show there is enough interest in the game in the States they'll bring it here too.

Night of the Sacrifice will be out in Japan on March 24, 2011 for the Wii.
