Mortal Kombat's next installment will feature the God of War himself. You read right, Kratos will be a playable character in the upcoming Mortal Kombat game. As you may have guessed, he will be a PS3 exclusive.
Ed Boon is looking to revamp the Moral Kombat series after the lack-luster performance of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. One of the major issues with MK vs DC was the glaring omission of gratuitous violence. I think I speak for everyone when I say that Kratos knows a thing or two about over-the-top gore. Kratos will have his own combat moves, fatalities, and even his own arena.
The official announcement will appear in January's Official PlayStation Magazine. It hits shelves later this week. The article confirms his addition to the game but denies that Kratos will be a playable character in story-mode.
This confirmation is great news for Mortal Kombat fans and even better news for PS3 owners. But it doesn't take much guess-work to wonder if an Xbox 360 exclusive character will be announced too. We've seen this before after all, like with Soul Calibur 4. The PS3 version had Darth Vader as a playable character and the Xbox 360 version had Yoda. Epic's Cliff Bleszinski has already gone on twitter to toss Clay Carmine's name in the mix. Which Xbox 360 character do you think should join Mortal Kombat?
Look for Mortal Kombat in Spring 2011 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

so wut gears of war are shooters all they gotta do is make them faster you think that they couldnt and speaking of fast chars how fast was goro and shao khan wut bout mintaro they were all pretty slow and when they added weapons all chars got even slower im just glad they bringin it back to basics no more non killing fatality just PLEASE no babalities or that kinda crap friendsships maybe but lets keep it minimal

I don't think Master Chief should be the 360 exclusive. He is too powerful to be able to be beaten. I think Sgt. Johnson or Marcus Fenix would be a good fit. Chainsaw fatality anyone?

My favorite character in the GoW series is Carmine because I always use them on MP. The Carmine brothers to live! But it doesn't really matter, all of the chRacters are bad ass, and would bring something fresh to MK. Cole, Marcus, and Carmine are my picks, in this order.

I don't think any of the COG soldiers would really lend themselves well to the mechanics of Mortal Combat.
Skourge however, the boss from GOW2 who wields a bowstaff tipped with dual chainsaws, would fit in perfectly. A COG soldier would be neat, but can you honestly say you'd rather play a COG than deal bloody executions with the dual chainsaw staff of death?

For the xbox version, you'd probably need a gears character because not many other xbox xharacters fit into the mk universe as seemlessly as kratos can. OMFG what about HYABUSA fromm the NINJA GAIDEN SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNOW THAT TITLE IS NOT ENTIRELY XBOX BUT COME ON!!!! DO IT NINJA GAIDEN!!!

The obvious choice for a character would be a G4 Forum Exclusive where you get to fight as one of the multiple Spambots that populate this site. But who would you choose? Would you opt for "Buy more to send" or perhaps "Fabulous Surprise".
Man the choices are endless. No seriously G4, the choices really are endless because this spam never ends. Listen, here is what you do.
Take the entire budget you spend towards airing crap shows like Cheaters, Cops, and anything else that starts with a C. Instead, give that 14 dollars to someone that can moderate this site or design some type of security feature that can actually figure out when someone is posting the same thing in multiple posts.
It isn't that hard.
Then, once that crap is out of the way, we can vote for real EXCLUSIVE characters from the G4 lineup like of course Reading Rambo.
