Beloved classic arcade game X-Men Arcade is coming out on the Xbox Live Arcade on December 15. Sadly, PlayStation 3 users will have to wait a bit: A PSN version is on tap, but it won't hit until a couple months later in February.
No word yet on the price of the game, although we know the home version of the game will feature high definition graphics, drop-in drop-out online and local co-op. You'll be able to play as well-known mutants Cyclops, Colossus, Dazzler, Nightcrawler, Storm and Wolverine.
This is the first proper console port of this fondly remembered beat-em-up, so don't sleep when this is released next week. I promise you'll like it... oh, and sorry, PlayStation 3 peeps.

I believe that Konami has sent out updated info that the game will, in fact, be available in North America on PSN 12/14/2010. Cost $10. A quick google search should yield the info. :-)

The Simpsons Arcade Game on X-Box Live would be sweet even though it has been available on the iPhone for quite some time.

I loved this game; growing up, I must've spent at least $100 in quarters on this game! It would be nice if this comes with a $10 price tag, but I'd be willing to pay $20.

That statement is not entirely true. From what I understand, the gameplay will be original and only menus and such will be "HD". I'll still pick it up, I used to pump rolls of quarters into this thing. Love it!

I think I creamed my pants when I was a kid and first saw the 2 screen 6 player edition in the arcades.
The only thing that sucked about it... getting stuck with playing as Dazzler!!

I'm hoping this is $15 or cheaper because even though I loved playing this in the arcade as a kid $20 is too much IMO.
