X-Play Game Of The Year 2010 Nominees Announced

Best Shooter: This is hard one, it is between Bungie's Halo: Reach and Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Now this will be a bit short; I will compare the multiplayer features of both games. Multiplayer now seems to be the best part over anything so let's see, if original (no-'similarities) stuff from the franchises and other stuff.

/Appearance In-Game/- Halo: Reach- S.T's for quick identification on the field, it's easy to identify them if they can hear you. Armor customization, it's has a moderately wide variety of things to buy for Spartans; ...Elites, free, but limited. Halo 3, had more customization for an Elite than Reach. All 'elites' have to do is rank up. Emblems are a nice way to show yourself, or a clan. 2 simple layers a foreground and background. I wish they'd put more colors in, or a palette/wheel.

Call of Duty: Black Ops- Your first perk determines, Ghost Pro, makes you look stealthy, while Lightweight you have "thin" clothing on. Facepaint, shows a nice side to you, pride in yourself! Then, your overall character selection for Black Ops people or Soviet people. And then you place pictures and clan tags on your guns.[Let's tackle the big one]

/Customization and Personization/: Halo: Reach- No special weapons of your own, only 'LOADOUTS', for every individual game types (variants) which makes a good deal of sense for Halo. Armor customization has a good variety for the Spartans as mentioned before, but Covenant lack customization for armor, anyone who is an elite get only armor sets, which can be seen to be input to the game, but so directly. Tags, barely show you, only because they're tags and good for id-ing someone. Emblems, 2 layers and certain icons, and color them, that's it, no arranging or scaling, just color, design, done. Overall, Halo's is good, Loadouts could've been included for a HH (Hollywood Halo) function that could have been incorporated, but sadly wasn't. That's COD's thing, Halo.

COD: Blops: The weapons in this game are more customizable than Reach. Army of Two, allowed more deeper weapon customization, like suppressors; back ends. Back to the point, loadouts, are a wider variety for picking a perk, or a weapon from a category, and the choices, And equipment, Jammers and explosives. And 2 types of grenades, lethal: (frag, sticky, tomahawk?), and tactical, grenades that screw you up mentally. And designing your own clan tag, this can allow you if you wish to put it on your gun instead, taking up part of your name, tag, or emblem. And emblem customization, 12 layers, that can make up for a big, nice, special picture which can also be put on your gun., and a nice camo to the gun's background. Getting to choose from so much, of everything. Don't forget your facepaint, not really or your character.

Online Choices- This is getting very long, so I will shorten. Halo's Matchmaking, didn't change much from H3. More choices are included, infection, which zombies should not be this strong, for the reason, of zombies. And are more selective, and privacy has improved in this game.

COD- Blops has a more lobby approach to playing online, they do have matchmaking as well.

Sorry, for not including everything, but in mostly in general Reach appeared to improved a quite some with their multiplayer and forge, but anyone expected it, there wasn't that major big step. Black Ops managed to pull it off, but still each game can put updates and improve on some complex and simple things.But in my opinion and what's here in those games, the overall Best Shooter of 2010 ( not Game of the Year) goes to .............................. .....................*drum roll*...Call of Duty: Black Ops, despite it's multiplayer not fully changing, it made a very good big step towards customization and gameplay, along with it's rewards for living (killstreaks, Halo gave you a medal).
