A Tomb Raider reboot is coming, people. This morning, Game Informer magazine posted scans of its next cover featuring a bedraggled looking Lara Croft, as well as the promise of tons of details on the game in its January issue. Click the "Read More" tag for a look at the whole cover.
Details, at present, are scant. We know the game will be called Tomb Raider and feature a younger, inexperienced Lara Croft who must "endure both physical and emotional trauma to survive."
We'll let you know more about the new Lara when the details are revealed, but until then, feel free to speculate, or just take a moment to revel in how amazing the new Lara Croft looks. Personally, I'm totally onboard and can't wait until this game is released, based on the image and history of the series alone!

Are these reboots REALLY that successful? It seems like EVERY YEAR its a big deal because Laura Croft is coming back in some shape or form when as far as I can tell last time she was a "big deal" was back in the days of the PS1 and the "nude code". The only difference now is that they are copying games that originally copied Tomb Raider by making it grittier and darker lol

As far as the image goes, it's detailed and intriguing, but it doesn't stike me as the Lara we've known. I do look forward and any Tomb Raider games, even if this is reboot 3 or 4?

I LOVE the idea of an all new tomb raider and a new take on lara. if they can make her a badass rough and tumble adventurer, i'm all for it. i'm thinking a female nathan drake. which i'm sure is what they are thinking too.
