Twisted Pixel Announces Ms. Splosion Man, Coming Fall 2011

Twisted Pixel has announced that its next downloadable game will not be a new IP, but rather a gender-swapping sequel to last year’s hugely popular Xbox Live Arcade title Splosion Man, aptly titled, Ms. Splosion Man.

The Comic Jumper developer reveals, via a fake celebratory press release that Big Science, the research facility responsible for creating Splosion Man, has not only added “functionality improvements and visual overhauls” and “incredible new locations,” but now features new “security features and fiendish traps” as well in the wake of last year's devasting outbreak.

Of course, as Big Science’s Dr. Henry explains, all of these improvements are of little use since nothing terrible like the Splosion Man incident will ever happen again.

“What’s going to happen, some sort of freak accident in the after party that creates a ‘Ms. Splosion Man’ mere seconds after Splosion Man’s capture? And then the Ms. Splosion Man goes on some monster tear in the fall of 2011? Yeah right. Not very likely.”

As you can see in the above trailer, Dr. Henry and his team were, surprisingly, 100 percent wrong about the status of their facility. But their misfortune is our gain, as it means we’ll be re-splodin’ it up next year, all while wearing an adorable bow. Sweet deal.
