We all know that Gran Turismo 5 has added go-karts to their racing simulator game, so obviously we had to compare this mode to the famous Mario Kart 64.
We know they're two completely different games, and you can't really compare them and blah blah blah, so just relax, buddy, and enjoy the combination of old-school karting action with this generation's finest graphics.

Mario Kart is fun...until the AI starts cheating it's ass off. All the people bashing GT5 and praising MK64 probably forgot about all the fustrating BS that was in the game. Rubber-banding AI cars, getting the freakin bananna peel 50x in a row instead of the much needed red turtle shell, or getting hit with a blue shell anytime you hit 1st. Anyone else remember this stuff?

I don't know why anyone thinks that they put karting in to GT5 as anything other than a gag. At least you guys are cool enough to take the piss out of your own silly videos.

I still go back from time to time to check my farm in Harvest Moon lol (not kidding) and me and my friends still play kart at least twice a month. BEST RACING GAME EVER just sayin !!!

sorry GT5, but leave go-karting to pros of Mario Kart 64, I still have that game (and a N64) and play it once in a while too, it still rocks, minus that bastard Donkey Kong and his stupid bannana peels!! damn dirty ape!!

how can you compare simulation racing with arcade racing smart people at g4. at least do simulation verus simulation i.e. forza versus gran turismo. Or better yet burnout paradise versus need for speed hot pursuit. oh and if you didn't know those are arcade racers.

Oh but look how shiny the video on the left is haha. The N64 produced some great games like Starfox, Mario, Goldeneye and Mario Kart. Just shows you polygonal square graphics can still give you a good gaming experience when the gameplay behind it is solid.

@ The_Reformed: Gran Turismo 5 is a PS3 only game, not Xbox. You must have it mixed up with Forza.
That said, Mario Kart will always be here, no matter what new-age games comes along. You just can't beat the classics!
