New Super Mario Bros. Wii has become the first Wii game to sell 4 million copies in Japan. The game will have been out one year on December 3. New Super Mario Bros. Wii also holds the record for fastest selling Wii game in Japan. A quarter of the game's sales were made in its first week of release.
According to Enterbrain, which collects data from all over Japan, New Super Mario Bros. Wii had sold 4,001,276 copies as of November 28. Nintendo has sold 10.8 million Wii consoles in Japan, meaning approximately 37 percent, or one in three Wii owners bought New Super Mario Bros. too. Nintendo has been celebrating Mario and his 25th anniversary on the consoles with a special red Wii console bundle that comes with a copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

I own it. Hardly any of my friends own a Wii. Almost all of them own Xboxs (as do I). However, whenever they come over to hang out, they always want to play New Super Mario Bros. Which is good, because I don't play it solo. Too easy with 1 person.

For some reason I showed up to Gamestop 20 minutes before it opened, just to buy this game. I was so excited for it. It's a great game and if you don't have it, I suggest you go and buy it! Congrats Nintendo!

Nin didn't make Metroid, they let Team Ninja do it. Why? Who knows. All I want to say is no matter how often the 360 trolls bash the Wii, Nin can always move games and consoles at a pace far greater than their competitors. Unlike M$, Nin focuses on good games, low cost, and few useless gimmicks.

Congrats Nintendo for making such massive sales on a game that has been around for so many years. Now fricken make a respectable Metroid game! Other M just shamed Samus and you make Mario better? Screw you Nintendo! >:(
