Nintendo Wii

The Nintendo Wii is getting demos through WiiWare. Finally... I mean, how long has the Wii been out? Eighteen years or so, right? Anyway, the Wii demos will launch on November 22, when Wii owners with a broadband Internet connection will be able to visit the Wii Shop Channel to access demo versions of WiiWare games without using up any Wii Points.

The launch slate of demos include some interesting titles: BIT.TRIP FATE, And Yet It Moves, ThruSpace and Jett Rocket. Additional demos will be added on Mondays and each will remain available on the Wii Shop Channel for a limited time.

Does anyone out there still play around with his Wii? I have to admit: Mine kind of sits there gathering dust most of the time... although I did enjoy Red Steel 2 quite a bit.

Wii? It's my little white doorstop.

Why did the GAMELORDS at Nintendo forget that games made them king!

Maybe the Gamelords from XBOX imprisioned them and replaced them with imposters.

I care little that i can get a Wii demo at this point.

    Later,gonna go play 360 now!

I want to rant about how demos annoy me, always have, but yet I still use them at times... but instead I will go a different route.
The Wii has sat around for a few months, I only play it occasionally since I am a computer gamer, but still it is fun to play and actually get in to the game from time to time and the Wii is the only console I really see that on. The 360 with the Kinect may put a challenge to the Wii, but as long as Nintendo keeps on it's toes I think they will do just fine. The Wii is more so the party console, almost anyone can pick up the controller and not get lost playing, that is what keeps it going in my honest opinion.

The Wii is really stepping up it's game. Honestly, despite not being HD and having a lot of gimmicky multiplayer games, it's probably the best actual GAMING console out there. The back catalog is immense, the new games recently have made it already worth the purchase, and there's even better games to look forward to. I love my PS3 but it's VERY easy for me to go back and forth between the two.

I haven't tried this but if you were to Google "gathering/collecting dust" I think the Wii would come up quite a bit.

In fact, why not just add gathering dust to the tags G4!

I have a ps3,but bought a Wii for xmas,I realize the games are aimed more at kids but I long to return to timeless characters like Mario,Kirby, and Donkey Kong, sometimes you just wanna take a break from action and killin' games.

It does seem nintendo has been slacking off in the game department and the virtual console titles being released have coem to a hault i know there still millions of awesome old games that can be released like warsong,7th saga, gemfire, breath of fire, earthbound, dragon warrior games and mario parties to name a few unreleased as of yet but as far as the titles they do have out the wiiware and virtual console there pretty good but are the graphics on the wii as good as xbox and ps3 not so much thats why i can see why people like those systems more myself included but i will never sell the wii short it was the first system to offer wiiware and some of those titles are pretty entertaining so im surprised peope don't play it more for those titles nintendo does have to step it up if there gonna get the attention of the ps3 and xbox owners i think the only nintendo product that might do that is 3ds because tis amazing!

I bought both no more heroes, finished them in the summer, and that was the last time I actually spent time on my wii, since then... my ps3 and wii have been collecting dust, too much work at school =/

Nintendo has given me lots of good memories and I won't be setting it out to pasture yet. Even though the Wii doesn't have as much to it as my Xbox does. Mario, Zelda, Samus, they are good enough for me.
Demos are new? I downloaded a World of Goo demo and one of the BIT trip demos a few years ago though?

Kirby's Epic Yarn, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Epic Mickey and Zelda next year is more than enough reasons to still mess around with the Wii for me.
