BioWare has uploaded a mysterious new screenshot for an upcoming project. Despite not confirming what game the picture is from, BioWare did make it Mass Effect 2's Facebook profile picture. They also uploaded two pictures of what appears to be binary code to the page. You can see them after the jump.
BioWare is planning to reveal the new game on December 11. The only clues as to what the game might be are the pictures posted to the ME2 Facebook page and a trailer saying there will be an announcement. The first screenshot is of a soldier in armor getting ready to shoot. Our photo-technician experts agree he could be holding a M-29 Incisor Sniper Rifle, a gun in Mass Effect 2's Aegis Pack.
The other two images are black and white binary codes. When converted the codes come out to 55.845 and 128.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Some Googleing leads us to the words Vostok, Iron and space flight.
Two months ago it was revealed that BioWare was looking for a lead designer for an upcoming "military genre FPS." The screenshot definitely looks more military than Mass Effect. I can't help but wonder: if this is in fact a new IP, then why use the Mass Effect 2 page to promote it? What do you think it's for?

Its an online multiplayer game...something like Gears but set in the Mass Effect universe!

I think i recall Bioware saying that they were going to set other games in the Mass Effect Universe other than Shepards story. This maybe a glimpse of whats to come. That or this is the part of the story where were learn John Shepard is actually John 117. hold on thats a stupid idea nevermind.

I know barrels are getting shorter on sniper rifles ... but rly, that's so an assault rifle. Notice tha barrel length, the slider just under the scope.
The hint at a bullpup design by not seeing a clip.

To be honest, it looks like Mass Effect 3..
1. Looks like the incisor rifle
2. Remember, the reapers are coming to the Galaxy, and for ME series fans you know what can happen Fighting the reapers is probably going to be the most Military game Bioware is coming up with.
3. With the reapers coming, your going to have to use alot of man power to fight the reapers, which means if suppling every trooper with the same armor Shepard has, its going to cost a -blam! ton of money, so they will be using cheaper armor that offers similar protection.
4. This could also be a new squad member in ME3

That sniper rifle looks kind of Mass Effect-ish. Just grittier. Then again, I'm not the kind of guy that reads gun magazines, so idk if that's a real sniper rifle.
Or maybe it's a futuristic game that has nothing to do with Mass Effect.
Meh, whatever. I'm sure it'll be cool.

The only reason they put this on the Facebooks of their other games is because they are trying to hint to their fans that a new game is coming and to keep an eye out for it and I doubt this is ME3 since I haven't really seen any army or soldiers that look like that in ME.

Well it's BioWare. So we can expect a campaigned focused title, hopefully and graphics will be well around outstanding.

The are using the FB pages to promote the game to their already dedicated audiences. Also I doubt this has much to do with Mass Effect, though it could be a prequel of sorts.
