The first DLC for Fallout: New Vegas has been announced. It's called Dead Money and will be out exclusively for Xbox Live on December 21.
The DLC will find you working with three other captured wastelanders, trying to recover the treasure of the Sierra Madre Casino, a plotline that will make Humphrey Bogart fans happy. The DLC will feature "new terrain, foes, and choices."
“We’re pleased to give fans a chance to expand their experience in Fallout: New Vegas this December with Dead Money,” said Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing for Bethesda Softworks. “The release of Dead Money illustrates our commitment to creating entertaining add-on content for players to enjoy in already massive games like Fallout: New Vegas.”
As happy as I am for the ability to play new DLC, I doubt I'm going to need it in December. I'm still working my way slowly, and steadily through the main game. I predict I'll reach 100 percent completion sometime in 2012. What about you guys? Are you psyched for the DLC? Also: It's a drag that it's 360 exclusive, am I right, Sony and PC gamers?

I'm very happy for you, Mr. Johnson, that you will reach 100% completion in 2012 because I'm pretty sure I never will. Last night I discovered the second of two critical bugs that will not allow me to access certain quests. Maybe they have released patches for these bugs, I don't know. I don't have X-box Live and I don't plan to get it. I will not be playing online. It really irritates me that both Microsoft and the game designers expect me to pay extra to make my game work right and in some cases just to get the whole game.

its for 360 now, it is possible it will be for the other consoles soon,just like all the other add-ons microsoft got first dibs too,

LMAO I laugh at all of you with your panties in a bunch just cause you don't get some DLC those of you that complain about a broken game keep complaining i wana see it fixed too. But it's just really funny to see people bitch cause they don't get DLC well im getting it cause i have a 360 and there is just really 2 possible reasons they are doing it only for 360 one to give them somthing exclusive for the comming year cause so far every up comming game for the 360 is also on pc or ps3 or all platforms but ps3 what just got GT5 and will be getting LBP2 and a few others, now that i think 360 does have their kenitc exclusives but kenitc is just like the move right now not really right for the hardcore gamer so i think thats what they are looking to do for the 360 owners kinda like a christmas gift to us. lol or the other reason is they just want you all to get a second copy on the 360 for the dlc haha make even more money either way i laugh at you who bitch about not gettn the dlc be happy you got the game you ps3 lovers i was sad to see the game even go to you guys you got lucky there well i know ima get alot of haters from this but i dont care haha

1. Seriously, noe have you have even beaten the game more than twice? What are you waiting for?
2. It's obvious that Bethesda will release the DLC for other consoles and the pc cuz thats what they did with Fallout 3.
3. Yes while I admit the game does have a few bugs, its not enough to drive me away from it or from Bethesda's products. Hell, I was one of the people that downloaded the "original" Into the Pitt DLC's where you could only get as far as the bridge and looked like what Mr. Hanky leaves in the crapper. THEY WILL FIX THE BUGS! A handful of oversights are not enough for me to ignore all the time I've spent with The Elderscroll Series, and with the Fallout series. Yes I have probably logged over a few hundred hours on these games and have no real life(YES, I KNOW), so I know what I am talking about.

I will stand up for Bethesda in the midst of all the angry gamers. I have the 360 version, have never had any freezes or glitches (or corrupted game saves) before or after the patch. I WILL be getting the DLC first day it's out. My whole game collection is RPG's I LOVE LOVE LOVE this game. I say keep doing what you're doing Bethesda! They already had the DLC ready to go but they just releasing it slowly to squeeze all the blood they can. I simply plain refuse to purchase DLC on a game that is broken though...

Not getting Dead Money. Made that mistake with Fallout 3. Just gonna wait until they come out with the version that contains all the DLC in a few months and save myself some Living Money

Fix the core game, then the DLC, regardless of console, will excite me. Also, I bought New Vegas on the same console I played Fallout 3 on, PS3. I have other games to play on my 360 at the moment. So again, not excited. Doesn't matter though, got plenty to play with that I can wait for the 'exclusive' DLC to hit all consoles, just like every other DLC. *shrug*

Need more details before I can get hyped right now I'm pleased with the original package of NV has to offer much more then Fallout 3 which needed DLC unlike NV which is pretty strong on it's own thanks to the companion side quest again however until I hear more info on this new DLC for NV only time will tell

This is wrong because Microsoft does not have the right to have the exclusive content on the x box 360.Dam you Bethesda ,why are you being bought out by them,you could make way more money by putting the Fall Out 3 exclusive content on the Play Station 3. That is why I hate Microsoft because they throw money at every video game company trying to take the competition away from Sony. Sony needs to start buying other video game franchises from other video game exclusives to get back at Microsoft.I am not trying to start a Fan Boy Flame war here,it is the way I see things.lol

This is old news and yes disapointing. When I purchased New Vegas I surmised this would happen based off of Oblivion and Fallout 3. I'm sad because they are disenfranchising the PS3 base to buy the dlc. With Fallout 3 the dlc came very late and was buggy crap. On PSN store it STILL costs $50 for all the dlc and GOTY is still $60 retail. Therefore, I a huge fan of the game have yet to buy any dlc for it. I would assume many others felt the same and PS3 dlc sales were low. This would further discourage Bethseda from breaking exclusivity contracts. With Microsoft losing almost all of its major exclusive franchises in the next year I see this only furthering with Bethseda and Rockstar. Its a shame the people that make the best games have such alienating business practises.

man im not playing this game or buying anything for it until they fix the damn game because I lost my save data to the bs game and now I have to start over I'm just grateful that I was not that far in the game but I will not start again until the patch is released so until then its gonna stay at the bottom of my game stack and its a same because I really want to play it

When you go out to eat you always need to feed the kids first. Or for holidays give them their gifts. I guess this isn't much different. The younger they are the more they'll cry if they aren't first in line.
