PC MMO The Witcher 2 has a release date. You'll be able to play this massive single player game on May 17, 2011.
“We’ve decided to move the launch date back a few weeks to afford us more time to polish the game,” said Adam Badowski, project lead at developer CD Projekt RED. “Of course, we know that players would like to get the game as soon as possible, so we hope that they will forgive us! We strongly believe that the extra time spent polishing the title will be well worth the wait."
You cannot expect more news on Witcher 2 on November 18, when CD Projekt RED holds a streaming press conference. Details on the Withcer 2 facebook page.
In a sense, this is the perfect release date for a game like this -- it's a huge, open world experience that will take up a lot of your time, and will be out at a time when AAA games are (traditionally) a bit sparse.
