I completely agree. It is this reason why many Japanese developers have fallen behind Western Developers.....they pay extremely close attention to detail but take FOREVER to make a game, and more times than I would like to admit, they take a long time for the wrong reasons. Not to polish a game but to add 500 pointless cars that no one will ever drive in the game.
And I LOVE Gran Turismo. I played 3 A:Spec for many hours. Never played 4 due to PS3 upgrade. However, a Gran Turismo game every 5-6 years is ridiculous. Beyond ridiculous. If Western Developers can pump out an epic polished 5 star game in 2 years, than the Eastern Developers should be able to as well. I know its the developing culture there for the last 25 years has largely remained the same, but they need to drastically overhaul the way they approach game development. A more structured timeline needs to be set in place. The same can be said to a certain extent with the FF series from Square Enix.
IMHO, Western Developers are now the most dominant developers in the gaming industry and their games encompass the majority of passionate series in Europe and the United States. While the Japanese will always have their quirky games that only they play, the bigger Japanese blockbuster games are struggling to keep pace in Europe and the U.S. Plus, the I am tired of seeing protagonists that have long wild spiked hair, outrageous outfits, and cookie-cutter stories and story techniques. We need something FRESH from overseas, and in timely fashion!

Only 5% of the cars are worth driving and they delayed it for them? 120D, 2CV, PT Cruiser, Prius? WTF? How many different versions of the same car do we need? I'm surprised they didn't put a Dodge Colt....no wait it's a Mitsu Colt. How many more pointless cars can they give you? At least they didn't include a Benz Patent Wagen.....yet.

sounds like someone is compensating... but seriously, more isnt always better.

I like the dedication this company has to making racing games, unfortunately I'm not a fan of sim racers, though I would love for Criterion Games and Polyphony Digital (or Turn 10), to come together and make the worlds most epic over the top racing game.

Holy crap you can drive a Delorean and a Prius.
I'm there!!

With so many different types of races & over 1,000 cars... I never thought I'd say this but, this game is just too big, however i do think it's a must buy.

The Forza series was developed by Turn10, they're the guys that came out with crash modelling and damage consequences six years ago.
kingcorey111
Wait, only Forza gets Porsche? OH NO! 1,031 cars isnt enough! hahahaha whats Forza?

BMW 335i is not there...

Porsche is absent accept for RUF, that's because Porsche signed an exclusive deal with Forza. The 200 premium cars are the only ones with detailed interiors and realistic crash damage modelling. All the rest are HD rehashes of the last game, most built before the year 2000.
