According to Microsoft's UK marketing boss Stephen McGill, hardcore Kinect games will be shown off in 2011.
"Back in September at the Tokyo Game Show we announced a whole range of incredible games really targeted to core gamers that are going to be dedicated to Kinect - adventure games, horror games etc," McGill said at a British U.K. Kinect launch event this week.
"We'll start showing more of those in 2011. 2011 is going to be an amazing year for gamers both on Kinect and normal controller-based games for Xbox 360. I think there's something for everyone," McGill added.
The more hardcore Kinect games announced at the Tokyo Game Show were Suda51's new game, being referred to as "Codename D," and Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor, a sequel to the complex mech combat game released on the Xbox.
I can't wait for a horror game to be put out for Kinect. The things facial tracking software and built in microphone have a ton of possible horror applications, don't you think? I can think of a ton of truly terrifying ways you could use Kinect to scare people.
