Ubisoft Workshop today released a teaser trailer for a new animated series Assassin’s Creed Ascendance, aka the previously referred to “Secret Project #3.” Not much is known about the series at this point, but if the super brief trailer is any indication, it’s going to be one slick production.
Is that Altair? Ezio? A new assassin? Hell if I know. Ubisoft says more details should be coming shortly, but feel free to speculate in the meantime.
Ubisoft is spinning quite a few Assassin’s Creed plates at the moment. There’s Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, which comes out next week, Assassin’s Creed: The Fall, the first issue of its new comic book series that hit store shelves today, and whatever Ascendance ends up being.
It’s easy to understand though given the richness and expansiveness of the story’s universe. I know I can't wait to see where Assassin's Creed III takes the series next. Fingers crossed for 1930s Chicago. Mob assassin's versus corrupt Templar cops? Call me Ubisoft. We'll make it happen.

Did anyone get the feeling it was Assassins creed mixed with undead nightmare?

Someone I know suggested the idea of the hundred-years war between France and England. It fits pretty well - it's a transitional period from medieval/renaissance style fighting to gunpowder, and it's also a war without a clear "good guy" and "bad guy", and a bunch of backstabbing and such.

:o exciting. personally I'm hoping for someone new, Altair is done and dealt with in AC2's codex pages and in the bloodlines PSP game, and Ezio is starting to show fatigue. as good as he is as a character, we'll have ended up with about 50 hours' worth of content by the time Brotherhood is finished. It's almost definitely not Nikolai Orelov from the new The Fall comic, set in Russia.
On a separate note, does anyone else think they should get a subgroup of Ubi's massive task force working on readjusting AC1 to fit AC2's standards? I really loved the game and if they fixed some issues, I'd happily buy it again if it was for less than standard retail price. As much as I love Italy, I really did love the art style of the crusades. I wouldn't think that a revamping of the existing game could take longer than about 3 months anyway, it's still beautiful. They just need to tack on some new features

I was always hoping there would be an Assassin's Creed game taking in place in ancient Rome during the height of the empire. the weapons the Roman Legion used would be perfect for an assassin because a Gladius is short and fas andt easily concealable, he could use a pila as a throwing weapon.

If it's one of the two known assassins it's probably Altair based on how simple his outfit looked. Ezio's has a lot more details to his. Course, it's probably not a known assassin.

im sick of people suggesting era's like WW2. Think about it for a scecond. How useful would the hidden blade be when the other guy has a machine gun? use your head people.

personally i hope that assassin's creed 3 goes away from desmond and his ancestors all together and brings in a new point of reference to the universe. i want there to be conflict among the assassins and having different leaders of assassins from different regions of the world not only makes sense but would be cool. imagine a desmond ( a euro-assassin leader ), a ninja assassin leader and say an african or south american assassin leader needing to put aside the status of leader they are propped up into to work together uniting all the assassins to take on the templar armies. because call me skeptical ( or shirley to those who get the reference ) but i doubt that europe is the ONLY place the templars are and would be amassing an army. furthermore desmond only has like 4 allies currently, even if he can create an army of assassins in europe that couldn't possibly be enough to stop the master plan the templars are forming
in any case i'm very excited to hear this game is going to be getting continued support. can't wait to play brotherhood and test my assassination skills against the world
