People in Spain know how to live. Not only is their nation among the most beautiful on earth, they name their streets after old school video games. A suburb in Zaragoza, northeast Spain, unveiled "Avenida de Super Mario Bros" Saturday, complete with a mascot dressed as the iconic plumber.
Residents of the most awesome town on earth will also be able to live on "Sonic the Hedgehog," "Space Invaders" and "The Legend of Zelda" streets. If everything goes according to plan, a dozen streets in the Spanish town will be named after video games.
The community is planned as a place for young people to buy their first houses, and you can blame/thank the internets for the video game names. The street designations were chosen from an online poll, but the residents of the town seem very happy with their new streets.
"We are people who grew up living with video games. We know them very well... I'm 25. I'm the same age as Mario," said Antonio Almudi Miranda, president of the Arcosur neighborhood association.
I'd like to live on Heavy Rain Street, myself. What about you guys. If you could choose any video game to be the title of your street, what would it be?
