The time is upon us, gamers: It's Day One of the Videogame Deathmatch. There can only be one winner in the Deathmatch, and soon we will know which video game is the top, best, most killingest game on the entire planet.
The Deathmatch puts the 32 biggest games of 2010 in the Terrordome and pits them against one another in brutal combat to the death. If you have a favorite game (and you know you do), you must visit the DeathMatch home, cheer your favorites along, and vote for the best title. Everyone who votes also enters a contest to win a PlayStation 3 and an Xbox 360.
When the dust settles and the votes are all cast, we'll know which game is the single best title on the planet. Thirty two games enter, and only one game leaves. Vote now!

Who came up with these matches? Mafia 2 vs. Halo Reach??? Yeah thats evenly matched.
And someone please explain to me why Lego Harry Potter was included but Splinter Cell Conviction was left out.

If people realize that this is flawed and the g4 staff admits to it being flawed then why do it? I like G4 but I personally think this is just a bad attempt to get hits. If you don't want to advocate people arguing over how good a game is or if its better than another without having even played it then this is a step backwards. There's really no reason it couldn't have waited till Jan. like someone said above.

We had to include a couple games before they came out as we knew they'd be contenders. Deathmatch launched this week so we could have the winner in time to be revealed on X-Play's Best of 2010 Episode on 12/14. It may be flawed, but its certainly less flawed than the BCS.
