If you were a fan of Wet and/or Naughty Bear, good news: Both games are getting the sequel treatment.
"We're working on Wet 2 right now and Naughty Bear 2," Behaviour CEO Rémi Racine told Joystiq. Sadly, no details were revealed about either game.
Both Wet and Naughty Bear were priced at a competitive $50 per copy. Racine reports that the pricing decision was made by publisher Bethesda, and that it's ultimately their call. According to Racine:
"There's a difference between Naughty Bear and a Wet title. Naughty Bear, I feel is more a $50 type of game. Wet I think deserved to be at full price."
As a huge fan of the grindhouse cinema Wet uses as its main influence, I think the game is totally worth $60... Naughty Bear on the other hand, is worth very, very little of my hard-earned cash. If you didn't play Wet, enjoy this video and get a copy!

Had to realize I couldn't remember my old login info and had to re-register just so I could say one thing: awesome! I love Wet, sure it could have used a lot of work, but it was one of the most purely fun titles I've ever played. I absolutely can't wait for the sequel!

Both those games had potential. Just bad deliverance.

Interesting. I only played the demo of Wet, and thought it was ok. Didn't exactly know if I could play a whole game of that though. Still, I liked the style.
Thought it didn't do so well in reviews though. But I guess since they are making a sequel, it will be better. Hope it comes along nicely!

Persnally, I thought Naughty Bear was a little underrated. Same goes for Wet. If these sequels are coming out, I'm interested on what they'll bring.

To everyone saying why are they making a sequel because the games were "bad" do you remember Street Fighter 1?
usetheforce666
I'm happy to see that Wet is getting a sequel.

very disapointed that bad games get sequels, put the money into something new

I'm not going to say Wet was a bad game, but it just felt like a game I'd played before....The story however has great potential so I think they should continue to build on it. Fix the originals limitations adn they could have the makings of a new, edgier Lara Croft. Film rights anyone? Just don't follow in the footsteps of Bloodrayne.

Great I get to hear Eliza Dushku shout unnecessary obscenities every 3 seconds AGAIN.
Naughty Bear couldn't have possibly sold enough to warrant a sequel.

Why are these games getting sequels of all the games that could get sequels? Makes me less pissed that games like COD get yearly installments when they at least continue to have playability versus games like these.

Naughty Bear, I really looked forward to. The concept was brilliant. Unfortunately it was the clunkiest game I have EVER played. EVER.

So being horrible the first time wasnt bad enough?
Are we really hard up for games right now that we need sequels to some of the worst games of the year?

really stupid move, even if the tech is getting better, I have the notion that both sucked so I am one gamer that would not give either a fair shake but would pay attention to a new IP, they are starting out behind instead of at square one.

Wet was okay so I'll accept that one. But Naught Bear? I guess there's a lot of room for improvement.

Wet was good, I'll be picking up the sequel. Maybe because of that new movie Red that a sequel was influenced?

I picked up a copy of Wet for twenty bucks simply because Eliza Dushku does the voiceover for the lead character, Rubi. I am halfway through the game and other than an unnecessarily annoying fall from an airplane, I do not regret the purchase.

Wet...worked, I guess. And it was fun to look at. Other than that though, I can't see why I would want to play another one.

I actually enjoyed Wet. It wasn't revolutionary in controls, gameplay or graphics and it got repetitive at times, but the voice acting, the story and just the overall feel of the game was really good and I had fun playing it and really isn't that what we're supposed to do when we play games? Have fun?
Naughty Bear on the other hand was one I really WANTED to like but after playing the first level I realized that the game is crap. The camera is shoddy, the graphics tear a lot, the kill scenes are recycled a hundred times (they are fun the first time but after a dozen times it wears off) and the gameplay is so repetitive that by the time you reach the end you realize that you've played the same level over and over but with different areas and enemies.
That being said I think sequels could actually be good for these games. I know Wet 2 will be really good if it polishes it's problems but I think Naughty Bear can benefit from a sequel in the way that they realize what they did wrong the first game and opt to do something different and make a decent arcade teddy kill sim

I rented Wet and actually liked it... until the very end. The controls weren't so bad once you got the hang of them. Only two things bothered me about it - but they were pretty big annoyances.
The platforming was weak and felt very disjointed. Sometimes you're doing incredible moves and effortlessly leaping from one place to another. Other times you had to be perfectly exact or you died instantly. During those segment I was always mumbling "Why the hell are there platforming segments in a game like this anyway?"
The second thing was the Quicktime events. It was pretty lame that they crafted this character that let the player do awesome moves, but they still couldn't figure out how to let the player keep control during a few sequences? The final boss fight being a long QTE was a massive disappointment as well.
So wet wasn't a totally bad game. They just made design decisions that probably sounded good for a game in 2001.

I actually rented Wet and it was a really solid game. I loved the grindhouse style of the presentation and the bullet time combat was pretty fun.
