Fallout: New Vegas Sales: $300 Million, 5 Million Units Shipped

Fallout: New Vegas has seen 5 million units shipped worldwide since its launch last month. Bethesda Softworks also announced today that Obsidian Entertainment’s anticipated follow up to Fallout 3 has made over $300 million across all platforms.

“We are delighted by the reception Fallout: New Vegas has received from fans around the world,” said Bethesda Softworks  president Vlatko Andonov. “We believe Fallout: New Vegas will be the ‘must buy’ title for gamers throughout the holiday season.”

The New Vegas strategy guide also hit the best sellers list on Amazon, which is kind of surprising given how prevalent free walkthroughs and guides are online. Then again, I can definitely see the appeal of being able to walk out of the store with a copy of the game and a super comprehensive guide instead of having to wait around for a couple weeks for someone to post a walkthrough online.

How many of you picked up a copy of New Vegas and/or the official strategy guide?

Should the need arise, feel free to E-Mail me your suggestions, tips, and/or personal philosophies, or follow me on Twitter.
