Hulu Plus, that subscription based internet TV service you may have heard about, will soon be available to all users of the PlayStation 3.
Currently, Hulu Plus is only available to PS Plus subscribers, meaning you have to pay a double monthly subscription charge if you want to watch all of Hulu's content through your PS3. Beginning next week, every PS3 owner will have the option of watching Hulu Plus... provided they pay Hulu for it, of course. The Hulu Plus subscription service offers full current season runs of TV programs from major networks.
With the rise and ease-of-use of VOD services like Hulu and Netflix, it really does feel like the days of paying for both cable and internet are coming to an end. I'm holding on to my cable subscription for now -- I gotta watch Boardwalk Empire and G4 -- but I wonder for how long. What about you guys? Have any of you stopped subscribing to cable or satellite in favor of strictly media streaming?

Lately I have just strictly used NETFLIX. I refuse to the pay for the PS plus. I feel that paying for the internet access is enough, and for that reason is why i dont own a XBOX. Why pay for internet, then pay to play on the internet, then pay to download additional content when that content should have been used in the first place, then pay to have hulu, and then cable, and then NETFLIX. Seriously you greedy bastards cut people some slack. No wonder 9/10 of us bootleg

I'm currently a college student and can't actually afford cable, so i stream everything anyways. I think for now, in my current situation, this is fine but in the future when I have a wife and children with more income, I'll definitely want some real television, but that's pretty hard to do if it become obsolete.
