Harmonix reinvigorated the music game genre with its recently threequeled Rock Band series, and the developer has done its best to do for dance games what it did for music games with its launch title Dance Central. Our own Dana Vinson put the motion controlled gyration simulator through its paces, and came away impressed, confident, and a little sore:
"Sure, you could flip on the stereo and do the Elaine in your underwear in private, but it's hard to shake the sense that you constantly look silly, if only to yourself.
Adults, I have good news: Dance Central is here to save you from yourselves."

Dance Central is definitely fun, the first game I've bought for Kinect. I've tried the Wii's Just Dance and DC has a better look and feel about it. Some of the songs are tough though!! And the DLC that has already been released is overpriced in my eyes. I've never really had a problem paying the $2 for Rock Band tracks but $3 for one DC track just seems a bit too overpriced to me. At least they should keep the track packs like they do for Rock Band, I would be a lot less hesitant about paying $5 for 3 tracks than the full $6 for the three, even if it meant downloading a song I don't particularly care for, I always love adding new tracks to my library. I bought all of the DLC for the first year when Rock Band was released just because I wanted to increase my library, so I hope Harmonix will do something about this. Great Job though! Love it!
