Morning Hangover: Thoughts On New 360 Update

The latest (and greatest?) Xbox 360 update released yesterday, bringing with it a few notable new additions including the ability to access ESPN.com and ESPN3 content right on your console. Or, finally, be able to search Netflix from your 360, thus eliminating the need to use a computer at all to keep your Instant Queue up to date at all times. And then, of course, there are the aesthetic changes like the new boxy design of the menus and tiles. I wasn’t much of a fan of the new look when I first started seeing it around, but it’s definitely grown on me. Plus the new dashboard just seems much faster than the old one for some reason. Maybe I’m imagining that.

The point is, I’m a fan of the new update, even though the previous one was just shy of two years old. The original dashboard was around for three years before the New Xbox Experience update was released back in November 2008, so it feels  a bit strange to have a new dashboard so soon. But it’s been changed for the better, right? Have any problems with the latest update?
