Borderlands Title Update Detailed, Coming In November

Gearbox Software today dropped some encouraging details about the long awaited title update for Borderlands, and while the free update still doesn’t have an official release date, it will be coming sometime in November. So that’s something.

In addition to fixing Achievement and Trophy glitches encountered by some players in the ClapTrap's New Robot Revolution DLC, the title update will also increase the level cap to 58 for all characters. Unless of course you own The Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC, in which case you’re maximum level will now be 69.

Other additions include enemies that will scale up to the new level cap for players who have completed their second play through, and item drops that will also scale to the new level, bringing with it "the highest level weapons to date."

So, sound like your kind of title update?

Should the need arise, feel free to E-Mail me your tips, suggestions, and/or personal philosophies, or follow me on Twitter.

Dude this is AWESOME!!! I just bought the goty edition and just finished the main storyline I haven't even started the DLC yet and now I find out there releasing more for it sweet. I'm still trying to make it to lvl 40 and now there raising the lvl cap 69 looks like I got a long way to go lol. glad I got this instead of Fallout new vegas since that turned out to be a glitchtastic mess.

So, even though I am on my second playthrough, at the highest level, and completed all of the DLC, I still won't get the scaled enemies because I haven't technically completed the second playthrough? I am at the level cap, so what difference does it make if I completed it or not?

i purposely havent bought the dlc because i was waiting for the dlc. and between finishing up FO3 to get 100% trophies before FONV (which im not playing until some patches come out) and loaning borderlands to a friend, it hasnt been hard to wait. but once the new level cap and stuff comes out u can bet ill be downloading the dlc and playing the crap out of it. and hopefully FONV will be safer to play after lol

    ^Then why don't you make a game?

I am happy I decided to wait to play the new claptrap dlc and actually happy I waited to get this game till they released the GOTY, was definitely worth the wait to get everything for it.

For lack of a better word, this game can rott in hell for all I am concerned. It froze on me the very first time I played it and within the first ten minutes of gameplay, then teased me when i jumped on the roof, could see another robot, and could not even jump over to it, come on, then the sequence that was suppose to play out never did so I had to start the game over for the third time in 20 minutes. This game is almost as bad as Dragon Age, yuk. I like the games that these games are trying to be, just do us all a favor next time, wait till you've ironed out all the bugs before you release a game like this again and don't promise something that the game is supposed to be if it is not. They said Borderlands was one huge are, ONE, then when it came out, it's really a bunch of dinky areas rolled into one game full of loading screens. Wow, if people think this game is cool, we really have gone downhill.

They have been saying all month that it was scheduled for October. Way to delay.

Nice, enemies that scale in level was something I really wish they had when the game originally came out. It was really hard to feel like going through the game twice when it didnt even require more than a playthrough and a half to get all the trophies/achievements. and enemies werent much stronger the second time through.
