Perk up gesture-based fighting fans. Konami announced today that No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise, the HD port of the original No More Heroes, will be landing stateside next year with PlayStation Move support. Before I continue I want you to think long and hard about Move controls combined with Beam Katanas. Go ahead. I'll wait...
The previous Heroes' Paradise port was released in Japan earlier this year. The North American version will not only support Move but it will include bonus features like improved AI and HD graphics. Move compatibility means a wide range of attacks, and, of course, flailing. Each move will be tracked with the camera to make sure your movements are accurately detected. Think about the motion control light saber game you've always wanted but add extreme violence.
You are Travis Touchdown, the 11th ranked assassin bent on becoming the ultimate killer. Sylvia, a mysterious woman from the United Assassins Association, has made it her mission to help Travis reach number one. Your weapon of choice, the beam katana. The game's setting is sunny Santa Destroy. The city is open to you with gyms, stores, and a lab where you can upgrade your weapons.
New game modes have been added too. Rebout Mode allows you to play against former enemies and opponents. This mode will also allow additional boss characters that weren't in the original No More Heroes. Viewer Mode let's you re-watch cut scenes in HD.
Look for No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise in 2011 exclusively for the PS3.
