Well, that was quick. Bethesda says it has just released an automatic update for the PC version of Fallout: New Vegas. The fix resolves quest and scripting issues in the game, and Bethesda says it's "working hard to make this update available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game as soon as possible." We'll let you know more when we know more.
Another bug squashed: The issue regarding the PlayStation 3 digital pre-order bonuses has been resolved. According to Bethesda, users should attempt to re-enter the codes to download their bonuses. If your "80023156" error continue, wait 24 hours before entering the code again -- that should fix the problem.
Since it's always good to laugh at problems, I vow to post a funny YouTube video of a New Vegas glitch for every post about potential patches or fixes. Here's a terrifyingly supernatural Doctor Mitchell from the very opening of the game. Call an exorcist!

If you crash, you can file a bug report on the website with the specs of your computer. If they look at your Diag report and what the bug was, its much easier to fix than guessing at a XBOX or PS3 player who are not reporting the issues. I reported a few minor problems on their website and decided to stop playing it until today. So far, so good. A few minor litches and a hiccup with a major battle.

I have the quicksave/autosave deleting glitch, so I have to use a menu save to make sure I don't lose progress, and I have another one that happens randomly and causes Fallout to minimize it self. I haven't got any game breaking glitches yet, but I saw Cheyenne's, the dog, eyes floating beside the dog's head, with empty eye sockets of course, looking quite creepy, only got a couple pics of it.

Lol this is what I love about Fallout's glitches, most aren't that intrusive and they are usually hilarious haha.

I knew it was coming, console games needing patches like PC games. What about people who do not have broadband which means they can't download the patch to fix a game I payed 60 dollars for. Also, is the patch going to make me have to start the game over? I've had it happen the PC before. The patch fixed the problem, but none of my saves would work. Emailed the company and was told that old saves would not work after the patch was installed. This after I put hours into the game. Game companies, please, for the love of god, finish your games and test them properly before you sell them. Don't sell a buggy game and rush to fix the issue after the fact. I'd rather you push back the release date for a anticipated game then sell me buggy software. Maybe Sessler should do a soap box about it!

bought it, have not play it but now i dont wan to until they get fix this just creepy

Quick patch does seem to suggest they were aware of the issue at launch and shipped it anyways. Quite a gamble that could hurt sales of any future games from these companies. This whole situation has put FO:NV behind other games on my "to-get" list. One can hope they address this fully after I am done with Fable 3 and Starwars: tFU2

They need to hurry up and fix this now cause this game is buggier than a low rent apartment in New York. Cause right now all my guns register as plasma weapons and Rex has decided that is can just wonder the desert and ignore me

How good can the patches be. They just released the game and all ready have a patch for it . It sounds like a glitch to more problems. Little bugs are humorist and you can sit back and enjoy them into they fix them. It's the big glitches that annoy the crap out of you.

The game has frozen on me once. Other glitches have been characters getting embedded in rocks and plants floating high in the sky. Why do companies continue to think it's ok to release half-baked games? If you're going to do a game, do it right.

I'm on PS3 and I've only had 2 freezes so far in the 20+ hours I've been playing it, and they were in the same area and were simply fixed by fast traveling somewhere else and back. This game is not nearly as glitchy as G4 portrays.
Secondtooth
I've only had two bugs thus far in the game, a floating convict and one lock up.Fo3 locked up on me about 6 times and I had a ton of stuck in ground, floating and random NPC flees.
gman2200
It looks like they released it and knew about the issues and have been working on fixes since they were sent out.
