Medal of Honor Sets Franchise Pre-Sale Record

According to EA, Medal of Honor is selling really well. The company says that in just five days since launching in the U.S. and with just two days of sales in Europe and Asia, the game has already sold through more than one and a half million units. Success!

Along with trumpteing its accomplishment, EA would also like to remind you that November 2 will bring Medal of Honor a new multiplayer mode called Clean Sweep. It's an elimination mode where players "must rely on their own skill and teammates' expertise to prevail as the winning team." This new mode is playable across two new maps (Bagram Hangar and Khyber Caves) as well as redesigned versions of the Diwagal Camp and Kabul City Ruins maps. The maps and mode will be available on both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. You can download and access the new content using the online pass that came with the game.

In a statement, Frank Gibeau, President of EA said, "Medal of Honor is one of EA's most storied franchises and we're thrilled to see that fans worldwide have embraced it. In this ultra competitive category, Medal of Honor stands out from the pack. By portraying the Tier 1 Operator as so elite, so tough, Medal of Honor offers a view into a world that has the power to resonate with FPS gamers everywhere."

Perhaps you've read Abbie Heppe's Medal of Honor review, but what do you think? Are you happy with the game so far? Are you psyched for a new mode?

I love playing first person shooter games because I get to use the models of my favorite airsoft guns. Not the same as the real thing, but just as good on a rainy day, or 3 in the morning when the neighbors are asleep. I go to this link because I can find airsoft copies of the guns from my favorite games: http://www.airsplat.com/airsof t-video-games.htm.

I don't care what any of the MW2 die hards say. Change is ok. Its ok to pick up a different game and enjoy it. Its not going to kill you to admit you like a different game. MoH has awesome multiplayer and the fact that this DLC isn't going to cost a quarter of the what the game cost itself is awesome. I find the multiplayer alot more intense and the 12 on 12 teams are alot more fun that 8 on 8 camp fests.

Campaign i enjoyed...had the dark stealth elements along with a black hawk down esque feel to....

Multiplayer on the other hand.. no, hate it..and i thought BFBC2 had a wookie problem.

Glad to hear the good news of its success and the upcoming DLC. Nice to see not everyone listens to biased reviews and appreciates the game for what it is. Activision can't pay enough to convince the masses otherwise. Muahahaha.

just because you give us this online pass and call this a free dlc, doesn't make it so. EA just basically releases games without the full content and tries to act like the super nice developer that gives away its maps while the evil empire at activision want your hard earned money. Same thing happened in BFBC2, we recieved I think 6 "map packs" even though they weren't anything but previously owned maps just modified to play other modes. And also the fact that no update or download was required means these maps/modes were already on the disc completed and waiting to be unlocked by the EA servers. I dont know why people buy into this b.s. these aren't map packs or DLC, its just EA trying to look good by giving you something you already own.

lulz @washfox. hard mode is pretty easy in this game. and when you say the multiplayer is so different, do you mean that there is an unprecedented amount of campers with one-shot snipers and spawn camping up the bum?

I love the game. I didn't think the multiplayer was short , atleast 8 hours for me(of course I played on Hard, could see how you could get through it on medium or easy pretty fast).

I also think the multiplayer is amazing. It is so different from everything else. I hate it when people think that it is BFBC2 when it really isn't. FPS games have taught us over the last few years to play a certain way and when you play that way in this game you get owned. You have to take a much more tactical approach which is amazing.

While the game does have technical flaws. I really enjoy the game. I love how intense the Multiplayer action is and the Campaign isn't bad at all. I kinda liked it better than MW2 (which seems to be the standard for FPS games now).

the single player was fun but felt to much like both MW games and for god sake fix all the glitches.i would really recommend to everyone to rent.give them maybe 1 or 2 more games and they will take down COD but they need to find a better online team.

i heard the single player for moh is really short, so this game is a rental or maybe pick it up used for cheap in six months, but i will never play this game because of the online pass. if the multiplayer is a bastarized version of bf bc2, i might as well play that instead. i could probably pick it up used for $30 now, and no online pass ftw!

I am really liking this game. I just finished the Campaign today (got the game a little late), and maybe I am just weird, but the ending took my breath away. Not to mention that it was quite saddening. Definitely the most emotional scene in the game.

I don't care what the criticisms said, I really enjoyed the campaign, despite being short. I seemed to me that the Campaign got better as you progressed through the story, because those last few missions were amazing. Not to mention that the characters WERE likable and felt pretty real to me.

I dunno, I feel that this game is severely underrated by the mainstream websites out there. I feel that G4's 4/5 was more accurate and I am glad to see that the sales agree. (Although, I am hearing that many people are trading it in. Oh well, go back to MW2 for all I care. I really like this game! lol)

i dont see whats so wrong with games using the same engine as older games, for instance call of duty has been doing for 4 years now and nobody has said anything
